Looking at my account stats this evening, 28 Feb. 2017, at 19:00 hours, PST, I was taken aback to see "earnings this month $0.00.  Since it is not yet 1 March, and HP HQ is in the same time zone I am, it was rather a shock, as I've been following my earnings, and I've earned more than nothing at all.

If HP were in some other time zone where it would already be "next month," this would be understandable.  But it is not.  Was this a glitch, or is there some other reason for setting the calendar ahead by a day early?

Mine is now at 0 also. I'm in California. It's a little after 8:00 pm

I'm on the East Coast, it's 12:30 AM now and mine still shows the total for February. I don't expect it to change to zero until it's midnight in California. It's funny that yours is already zero Sherry.

Maybe it's a result of the AWS server problems today. Talking to various people, I noticed that it's not affecting everyone everywhere. It hit my stock platform today too. HubPages uses AWS for image storage but not sure if they use it for the financial data.

In case you don't know, AWS is the Amazon Web Service many companies use for their cloud storage.

Does the title still say "This Month (Feb)" or did it increment to say "This Month (Mar)" already? I just checked mine and it still shows the total for February.  Maybe it was a glitch when you looked.

It does not name a month; it just says, "this month"

In the other box, where it shows, last month, this month, and last 7 days, my Feb. earnings do show correctly, so I was very puzzled.  It is now 22:28 hours, PST, and I just checked again; still says $0.00.

Where are you looking? Mine always shows the month in the title. Are you looking at https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/reports

Today mine updated to March as expected.

This is where she is looking: https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/ it doesn't state the month.

No--that is not where the error was showing; it was showing on the landing page when you click the 'earnings' tab.  In the reports, it correctly showed the amounts.

That's just the "settings" page. The heading on top saying "HubPages Earnings Program: $0.00 so far this month" must just be taking it from a different database that already rolled ahead to March. I can't check to see if mine was the same anymore since it's already Match 1st now.  But that solves this puzzle. The "Earnings Reports" tab is always correct, as you noticed (except for unaudited earnings).

Interesting, in any case, and I do think it was some kind of glitch, because I've been here for 6 or 7 years, and that has never happened before.

Mine still shows February totals. I'm on the east coast and it's way past midnight. Go figure.

Not to be unkind, but could the OP give a notion of what the thread is about in the title?

Thanks, Sherry!  I hadn't even thought of that; of course I should have had a more specific title......I was too stunned!  wink

Not entirely. As a matter of principle I would not read any post here. Except ones I am obliged to respond to because they are replies to my own.

Wrylit is responsible for this. She took the clickbait route and the sheer frustration made an honest writer of me.

I do not understand the last part. The sheer frustration of people posting clickbait posts on the forum made you an honest writer?

I was lured into several threads by the use of 'controversial' and 'teasing' titles. The titles proved to be misleading and the threads pointless. Enough for me, lol, life is too short...

@Will Apse:  It was not my intention to create 'clickbait.'

I was merely rather stunned at the supposed results I had seen on my earnings 'landing page,' and I was tired, it was late at night, and my initial reaction to what I saw was "What gives, here?!"

So, I titled my post with my reaction.  So sorry if you took it as 'clickbait.'  That is not something I ever do by design or otherwise on purpose.  That was your perception, and therefore your issue; not mine.  I am not responsible for your choices in how you choose to react to any given writer, just as no other writer is responsible for how I may choose to react to anything they have written.

'Nuff said.  Let's move on, shall we?

You are right the thread title it is not really clickbait. On the other hand, it is a shout for attention without giving a clue of what is involved.

If everyone took that approach the forums would soon be unusable.

An honest, title might have been: Help With Understanding the Earning Stats, Please?

This might be a UK thing, or maybe, an age thing. Pointless sensationalism drives me crazy.

Anyway, a long day of minor irritations, yesterday. I obviously need a bit of a break from HP, so I will take one.

Best of luck with your own minor irritations.

It may not be affecting everyone, but there is a glitch.

I went to the earnings page today and it states my month-to-date earnings are 0.  This is definitely not correct.
