Posse Comitatus:
The purpose of the act – in concert with the Insurrection Act of 1807 – is to limit the powers of the federal government in using federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States.
The Act does not apply to the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard under state authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within its home state or in an adjacent state if invited by that state's governor.
“While we cannot speculate as to what may be requested via official channels in the future, we have serious constitutional concerns about activating the National Guard to provide the mentioned services and the potential financial impacts of doing so,”the office of Utah Gov. Gary Herbert (R) said.
President Donald Trump's administration is considering mobilizing as many as 100,000 National Guard troops to round up unauthorized immigrants, according to a draft copy of an order obtained by The Associated Press.
From what I can ascertain this is an unfounded rumor expanded into a falsehood by an over zealous news media. But, I will say, from talking to people about this it kind of scared me how indifferent many were to the idea if it had been true.
"White House officials insisted Friday that they were not imminently planning to use National Guard troops to round up unauthorized immigrants. But a draft memo obtained by the Associated Press did indicate that at one point, someone in the administration had considered the idea. http://www.dallasnews.com/news/immigrat … tion-raids
You can see the actual draft here:

Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson said his state had not had any contact about the proposal, but added, “I would have concerns about the utilization of National Guard resources for immigration enforcement. I believe it would be too much of a strain on our National Guard personnel.” - http://wbay.com/2017/02/17/trump-weighs … -roundups/
Well, I think you are stirring up a tempest in a tea pot but, I suppose we shall have to wait and see. I certainly hope you are just being alarmist.
Maybe you have never been falsely arrested, got a copy of the Officer's arrest notes and it read on it ".. probably on.."
?on what I wondered..? Oh - 'Other Nationality' Yup, me with my heavy NYC Queens accent.. Yup.
That happened to me in Arizona with the S.B. 1070, which requires police to determine the immigration status.
I mean really? You all have fingerprints when I was in security..... Fingerprints don't change over time -
Ever considered changing your handle to Chicken Little?
Just kidding. I'm firmly opposed to the deployment of National Guard troops nationwide for any reason I can think of. I think, if everyone thought about it, they would all agree. But, I'm not going to work myself into a tizzy because some random official put forth an idea that has, apparently, not been acted on any further. If I were to do that every time I heard of some hair brained idea some official pondered I'd go crazy.
"We're getting really bad dudes out of this country, and at a rate that nobody's ever seen before," Trump said Thursday. "And they're the bad ones. And it's a military operation."
" A White House spokesperson said Trump did not misspeak by calling deportations a 'military operation,' but clarified the President meant "military" as an "adjective." -DHS Secretary John Kelly told reporters in Mexico City Thursday that there would be "no use of military force in immigration operations, none," and Trump's administration has gone to great lengths to deny reports that the National Guard would take the lead on deportations. - http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/23/politics/ … -military/
As adverb enhancing an adjective: Trump is ʄʊƈᏦɨռɢ puerile!
Trump's administration has gone to great lengths to deny reports that the National Guard would take the lead on deportations.
Your post, not mine. That should be enough to cause this thread to be dead.
But, that isn't good enough, is it? Doesn't matter if something is true, or not. If it is what one wants to believe little can be said to alleviate fear.
I made a mistake in what I wanted to say. I did a 'trump'. I meant something different that what I said.
What I meant to say was Trump says one thing, other in admin are saying something different.
"I know you think you understand what you thought I said but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant”. ― Alan Greenspan
Trump used a word which you choose to see in one light where it can be seen in another. They have attempted to clarify. Happens a lot so the left enjoys food for fodder. But, I'm not certain that serves any purpose.
Of course it serves a purpose! It increases fear in those that won't think for themselves, it causes further separation and dissension of the citizenry and it's fun to demonize Trump (not to difficult, either, as long as the silly claims are not looked too hard).

Trumps speech on August 31 was fraught with lies and miss-information. He should not call it his policy on Immigration, but it should be called his policy on Deportation. I watched the entire speech and it gave me chills. He sounded and acted just like Hitler and Mussolini. Here...

I imagine it will take some time to establish the infrastructure, round up the illegals, get new laws in place. What is a realistic timescale?

It seems many GOP congressmen and candidates are defending Trump's actions regarding the indictments just to play to Trump's base for votes. Trump's niece, Mary Trump, who is a clinical psychologist knows her uncle quite well. This is what she says about how he will react about the legal...
