Article submitted to Soapboxie was denied how should I edit it?

   The email I recieved is all about link issues. I have reread the article about half a dozen times now and I can't find any links. I found minor spelling and grammar errors, which were not changed or addressed that I fixed; but for the life of me I can't find anything else wrong with the article. The editoral notes in the email are asking me to add links/citations to back up and support my claims, but this article doesn't contain facts that I pulled off any other sites.
   
   They already moved my other hub that is related to this one to soapboxie after I submitted it last month, but for some reason they won't take this one. My other article had links, and facts that weren't linked to reputable sources. So I'm very confused as to why they think this new article needs or has links. Is it possible they got the titles or articles mixed up? Or that the editor was different for both hubs, so both articles are not being held to the same standard?
   
   This new article is almost all my opinon and common knowledge. The only section that has something link worthy is my section on Travis Hirschi's control theory of delinquency, however I haven't found any reputable sources. I've looked and the best I can find are scholarly articles, and those authors would have taken their information from someone/somewhere else. I learned about Travis Hirschi in a criminal justice class in college so I don't even have references to pull from as I wrote this article years ago with notes from this class and my experiences from volunteering in this field.
   
   What should I do?

      I was told that any photos with Sources are counted as links. 3 I was told is the max allowed. As I can't see the article I can't tell you if there is too many. Or the type of article you wrote might require Lagitamit research sources.

         I only have 3 photos, but they are all my original photos. I didn't realize that photo's counted as links, good to know. Since I only have 3 though that shouldn't be the issue.
         
         It could technically need research sources, however I didn't actually do any research for this article.
         
         I didn't know if adding a link to my article was allowed or not so I didn't include it.

            You are allowed to add a link if you are asking for advice, or you could just tell us the name of the hub. If it's published we should be able to find it.

            Photos are NOT counted as links unless you add a link to the URL field within the photo capsule. Yours are fine.

               Thank you, that makes sense. Do you have any ideas on what else could be causing the link issues? I didn't write about any facts that would absolutely need research and links. At least none that I am aware of. I'm at a complete loss on where I should go from here.

                  Your article has no links so they can't be asking you to remove any, unless, as you suggested, they've mixed up a couple of different hubs or authors. They want you to  back up what you're saying. You didn't take this info from any site, but see if you can find a couple of sources related to your content and link to them - or just link to some info on Hirschi. There's lots about his theories online as I just found from a Google search. If that doesn't do it try writing to the editors and ask them to be more specific. Good luck

                     Thank you! So you would link to scholarly articles? Most of the sites I've found are college sites, random wikipedia type sites, and scholarly articles. I don't really feel like college or Q&A sites would help my article, but I guess I could link to a scholarly article. Although those types of articles would have gotten their information from somewhere else. Does that not matter, since they are still saying what I am?

                        I would think linking to scholarly articles is fine, even if the authors got their information from somewhere else. As you say, your article is opinion and common sense rather than cited facts but if it's in line with Hirschi's theories at least to some extent, then link to a reputable site about him and his theories. I see there's a page about his social control theory on Oxford University Press website (with links to the authors)..
