Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson (It's SO good) and All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.
I'm in the middle of several books because I can never pick just one.
Witch Spells Trouble by Lori Woods. It is the second in a series of paranormal cozy mysteries. I never used to be much into mysteries, but lately I've found myself enjoying cozy mysteries that feature cat sidekicks (a genre I only just discovered last year).
I'm also in the middle of a short story collection called "Warrior: A Collection of Short Stories." It's a collection of young adult short stories featuring LGBT characters that I backed on Kickstarter about a year ago. I'm taking a break from this book until I'm in the mood to read YA again.
And also The Rules of Magic by Alice Hoffman, which I digitally borrowed from the library, didn't read fast enough, and had to go back to the end of the hold line. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it soon!
I have way too many other books queued up on my Fire tablet and sitting in a pile on the table by my couch. Why do I do this to myself?
I can't read book at one time, either. Blame it on college.
Anyway, I started Travels with Charley: Searching for America by John Steinbeck. It was one of two books I actually bought at his museum in Salinas, Ca. So far it's an interesting window into America in 1960.
Still trying to get through The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by Shirer (Ironically, Steinbeck was struggling to read that book on his trip across America).
I love Steinbeck and strangely enough 'Travels With Charley' is the only one I have not read, apart from 'The Log From The Sea Of Cortez'. I don't know why not.. The others, however, i have most probably read many times each, over the years.
I am currently reading a charming little book I bought on Amazon a couple of weeks ago. It is a book for children and adults alike and a very quick and easy read.
The title is 'And Then, Of Course, There Was Zoki' and I suppose that I am a member of a captive audience, but it was written by a teacher I was lucky enough to be in the class of.
Highly recommended.
I've moved on to the The Dragon Reborn by Robert Jordan. It's the third in a fourteen book series. I have my reading cut out for me over the next few months...
Picked up a book from the "free zone" at a friend's apartment complex. It's Richard Posner's "Law, Pragmatism, and Democracy."
