Appearing on the slider simply means it is published. Published items would be removed if they don't pass quality test.
True. People who follow you can see it throughout on their feed before it passes the QAP. On slider, however, it plays hide and seek. Ah, the quality!! :-D
I feel sorry for you Burhan, but it won't clear unless you meet the HP standards.
Theraggededge, Rupert, Jeremy, Nate, myself and others have guided you plenty. I haven't seen any other Hubber(s) being helped so much.
Because your article has potential and your writing needs some polishing, we went to our Lengths to help you.
The problem with you now is, you want us to spell all the errors.
We have given you hints, advice, links, spotted some, sorry, many mistakes and yet you seek detailed help.
Your punctuation is still messy. You haven't learned yet when to use semicolon (even when helpful resources are available online). You have spacing issues for using (brackets). Your sentences do not connect to one another coherently.
All these have been told. Why not work on it? Buckle up boy. Take a break.
P.S: That zombie photo you recently put is totally irrelevant and I believe it's not good for the hub.
It's the writing dude. WRITING!
Tell me this sir
1) are my first two phara grammatically right
2) in third para, do I need good amount of rephrasing?
3) lastly I would like to know if I used comma correctly ?
4) Is capitalization correct ?
5) Are then any other mistake other then I have pointed above ?
Note : I know you all have helped me much . I am ever grateful
No, really. That's it now. You have to do this yourself.
Passing is not related to Hubscore. Article(s) when pass the QAP has a low score. It's only later it increases/decreases as per traffic and other conditions. How much did your wasp article score?
But the question is on the rating page in shows that hub is rated regarding it's quality, so hub score does not mean anything?
No, scores do not mean much. They certainly don't help your Hubs become successful.
It's irrelevant. Ignore the scores, they don't matter. What matters is whether your Hubs are Featured or not.
@ Burhan, true. Don't let all these get into your head. Focus on getting the article featured. When you have your first published article, you will have learnt much about the standards.
I know you have submitted two articles so far, and both haven't cleared the QAP. Write on some other topic, keep it around 1000 words and more. You know rest of the important guidelines. Keep your writing clear and simple. Avoid complex and compound sentences as you are a little weak in their construction.
Sometimes, putting head in one article blocks our thinking and spreads negativity. Leave it be and look at it after a week or so.
It's your Hubber Score. Again, just ignore it, it doesn't matter.
I did read it. Honestly, wasp's was much better, but it had its own issues. I read the bee one half and lost interest. Maybe I am not the ideal audience for that.
Why on earth have you got it in the 20th Century History category? That's not where it should bee Surely you should have it under Educational/Nature?
There is no irony. The article didn't have flaws, so it got featured. Now you may have a little idea how qap works. Frame your articles accordingly.
Is it the Plague Doctor one? You've rewritten a Wikipedia article... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/plague_doctor
Why would you want your article to compete with Wikipedia?
It was the site which provided me information. I used only information from wiki and used some other sites to.
But why?
Why don't you write an article with your own material, or focus on a topic that requires more input from you? There's nothing wrong with gathering information from various sources, and then putting together a useful piece of writing. But there is no point rewriting other people's work. You won't get the traffic.
You might also lose your HubPages account as what you are doing is close to plagiarism.
One tip is to read all you can about a topic, then write the article without going back to the source material. You have to put something of yourself into it.
This happens a lot here. New HP members don't think they can write their own material, so they rewrite other people's.
My very first article for Squidoo (a little like HubPages) was about home-schooling and my approach for my children. It was personal and it was unique, because no-one else experienced it the way we did. I wrote a few more like that and then pretty soon, I learned how to research a topic and write unique content. That's what you have to do - start off with what you know and build on your work.
Write about an experience you had once and what you learned from it.
Write about something you like to do.
Write about your spiritual path.
Write about an issue you've had to deal with.
Write about your schooling/education.
Write about your locality.
Write about someone wise in your family.
Write about local superstitions.
Write about some unusual food or tradition.
Write about something that you are an expert on.
And don't use Wikipedia, unless you need to look up a date or a reference
Ok thanks it was an eye opener. However, it will get featured soon. Moderator is currently editing. I will keep your advice in mind for next time
Read this HubPage's Learning Center article: https://hubpageshelp.com/content/Learni … at-content
@ Burhan, you mean the moderator is working on the entire article? As far as I know, they only fix issues like title and links, and Amazon capsules . They don't work on the content. What has hubpro informed you?
Ah, looking at your article again, I see the Amazon capsule has been removed. That's what the moderator has changed perhaps if the article has been featured. Or have you removed it?

I just read a Hub that said that the author was going to go to the freelance website and pay people to write articles for him that he would put on HubPages to make himself money from. That can't be okay with the HubPages site, is it? A couple of people commented, including an author that I have...

Hi, I understand the recommended article length on Hubpages is 700-1250 words. Will articles longer than 1250 words always be rejected for featured status?

I just got an email congratulating me on having 25 Featured Hubs (on my new account). it said that puts me in the top 3% of Hubbers. So that means 97% of Hubbers have fewer than 25 Featured Hubs. It just goes to show you how few truly active members HubPages has.

I know that you can choose to display your idle hubs on your profile page, but I don't, because I don't want Google to see them at all and get confused by all those "do not follow." What this means is that my idle hubs are not available for anyone to see, and I have to actively...

I've been a member of HubPages for over a month and have encountered challenges in getting my articles featured. Despite having written five articles that I believe are of high quality, they often remain in "pending," "needs editing," or "draft" status without clear...

For the last 2 weeks, I am facing a problem with HP that my hubbers score is dropping very quickly. I have published 37 articles. All of them are featured. Having good scores as well. I update those articles on daily basis. I am trying to make it error-free as well but don't know why I don't have...
