    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article Dates A Miracle Fruit (must be signed in to view). What can I do to improve? Thanks!

The main problem is that you do not cite your sources. You are giving medical advice to pregnant women. The least you could do is include the links to the studies from "many universities."

      Hi there,

You need a comma or a colon in the title. Dates, a Miracle Fruit. Otherwise it reads as if 'dates' is a verb big_smile

Grammar and punctuation issues need addressing, as others have stated. There is always a space after a comma, period, question mark, etcetera.

The extra section on 'easier delivery' does not fit with the title. It would be better to have more information on dates than about birth. Or change the title to reflect that you are mostly discussing how to have an easier birth. "How Dates Can Help You Give Birth", which sounds weird, but never mind.

You must cite the sources for your information. You don't want someone saying they followed your advice and something went wrong. Personally, I would never write a hub on a health subject unless I knew exactly what I was talking about and had lots of research to back it up.

You've entered Flickr as the source for your first image, but you haven't linked to the image's proper page, nor credited the owner, or stated that it's under a Creative Commons license (I presumed you checked that the photo is legal-to-use?)

The second image is from openphoto.net, and they say on their About page that license terms and conditions vary from image to image. Again, you haven't provided the required information. Edit: the site even provides the necessary code - which you can trim to put in the image capsule.

Please read this. It may prevent you receiving a demand for payment for unauthorised image use:

      Hope that helps.

There are numerous problems with this article.

You tend to change verb tense within a sentence.

Your punctuation needs work. There is always a space following a comma, period/full stop etc.

Watch out for random capital letters creeping into the text.

Boldface text such be used rarely.

You talk about studies confirming that dates are beneficial during pregnancy; you need to cite those studies.

Also, you are essentially offering medical advice. Do have have professional qualifications to back up your claims? HubPages is necessarily quite cautious about featuring this kind of article.

Hi Sadiama, the first thing about any article is that you need to pay very close attention to your language and grammar. I noticed several errors such as punctuation, use of uppercase when it should be lowercase, and overall structure. And greenmind is right. In addition, you need to cite your sources, preferably reputable ones that show some research-based evidence.
    Hope this helps.
