California Is On Fire!

   Many homes and businesses are being totally destroyed from the reports I am seeing, complete neighborhoods.  People are going to be in great need for a long time to come.
   
   Its horrific.  I heard of one death so far, and many people injured.  They don't have the man power to fight all these fires, it is overwhelming. 
   
   Last I heard the fires are 0% contained.

      It is very horrible to see that it spread so violently and so much quickly engulfing a vast area. Many were burnt alive and thousands of people fled in fear leaving everything behind. How can such things happen? It appears very unnatural. Why the authorities and other public are so irresponsible and careless? Nobody tries to learn from past mistakes or events. If they do not care for themselves, who will come to their help?

         Those are some very good questions to keep in the backs of our minds.  People were not alerted ahead of time from what I understand.  Much like the people of Houston were not alerted to evacuate before Harvey destroyed their lives.  Officials knew, and discussed the possibilities, but decided not to alert citizens.  They must be brain dead robots. 
         
         There are plenty of people who are learning from past mistakes and past events, and they really do care.  They are called American Patriots.  We have elections coming up!

            The report that I saw indicated that a big part of the decision not to evacuate was that by the time the severity and direction of the storm was know it was not possible to evacuate 2 million people from Houston.  Most would have been in as much, or more, danger sitting still on the freeway in a car as they would in their homes.  Panic as 2 million people run for their lives is at least as likely to kill as a hurricane is, and to require an evacuation that size before it's known necessary is irresponsible at best.
            
            Moral of the story; it's real easy to sit back and declare people brain dead when we don't know the reasons for their actions.  We saw the same kind of comment when massive aid wasn't in Puerto Rico minutes after the storm passed.

               Sorry. The main discussion here is about the fire that broke out and caused so much damage, not the hurricane. So, it was a great lapse showing the irresponsibility of the administration. And, many are nowadays out of that kind heart and nice brain and so can be called as robots.

                        I read a report that said CA officials were thinking of sending out a fire alert via cell phones of people in the endangered areas, but they didn't because they couldn't specifically target the cell phones of just the people in the areas on fire, that other people would get that alert who were not in those areas of danger.  So, they did take that action.  (?)
                        
                        If that is true, its as screwed up as anyone can get, but we are talking about CA officials.  People who would change the law for people who knowingly expose HIV/Aids to unsuspecting people, from a felony to a misdemeanor are really screwed up.   That's dark!

                        I just visited an online friend's YouTube channel and see he posted about the wild fires in North CA, that's where he lives.  So, this was really emotional for him to talk about.  He read an article about an elderly couple who stayed in a pool for 6 hours as the fire passed them burning everything in its path.  They escaped with their lives, and are grateful for that. 
                        
                        Their daughter called them and told them they had to get out of that house.  The woman looked outside and saw a wall of fire.  She checked her cell phone later for any alerts and there were none, and said she gets alerts.

                        Bix, was saying the fires won't be put out till next week, but there could be another wind storm.

               This was going viral as the officials in Houston and the media were down-playing the devastation that the  Houston City Council knew was coming.
               
               
               
               The Governor of Texas and the President of the US were calling for an evacuation of Houston, but their pleas were ignored.  They publicly shamed the whistle blower,  Rebecca Reisig, who was 100% correct.

   I'm a true believer of this and have been for many years:  Spend the millions and billions of dollars that have been wasted on trying to disprove this or that, or cover up, and spend it on assisting areas that have been affected by NATURAL disasters!

   "Once again, a non-cooperative jurisdiction has left their community vulnerable to dangerous individuals and preventable crimes. ICE lodged a detainer against Jesus Gonzalez with Sonoma County jail officials on October 16, following his arrest on felony charges for maliciously setting fire to a property. This is especially troubling in light of the massive wildfires already devastating the region. Over the past year, ICE has lodged detainers against Mr. Gonzalez after four separate arrests by Sonoma County on various felony and misdemeanor charges. ICE was never notified of Mr. Gonzalez’ various releases. Additionally, Mr. Gonzales has been returned to his home country of Mexico on two separate occasions. The residents of Sonoma County, and the state of California, deserve better than policies that expose them to avoidable dangers. Non-cooperation policies – now enshrined in California state law – ensure only one thing: criminals who would otherwise be deported will be released and left free to reoffend as they please."
   
   The deadly fires in northern California have caused over $1 billion in damages. 42 people have died in the fires.
