I hate what Obama is doing in this country. I hate all these bailouts and I hate what Congress keeps passing and I can't do anything about it. It annoys me so. Suggestions?

Don't feel badly.  There is little you can do other than join any groups or organizations that are also against it.  I know how you feel, I was absolutely sick when Bush became president and I nearly died completely after 8 agonizing years and by the time he left....oh my God what a mess.  What a mess!!!  I never did get used to him.  I hope you don't suffer the same fate.

Very clever and sweet, Moonchild.  I've been voting since the Kennedy Administration, and have had to just swallow hard and accept the Nixon, Ford, Reagan, George HW Bush, and George Bush administrations.  During those times, it was necessary to work harder for the causes of peace and social justice.  So finally, it feels wholesome and rightous again and what was lost with a paradigm of greed and arrogant superiority, seems to be beginning to be restored.  When people realize that they will be gaining and not losing with the Obama administration, I think many will quietly sneak over to stand in the line they actually always wanted to be in before they were duped by the likes of the Rush Limbaugh crowd and/or were knocked off kilter by the collective sadness of 9/11.

How about wait and see what happens and then try and vote him out of office when his term is up... I believe that is how democracy works...

So you cast your vote then sit back, shut up and do what you are told until next time? NO, that is NOT how Democracy works.

That is not what I said. But condemning something when you have no idea how it will turn out is kind of silly.
Hey, I don't like the government we have in power here in Canada but I am willing to wait until the next election.

get out with your kids (if you have) and focus on posiive energies. I read it in Franklin covey

there are two areas in our life

    A - Circle of Concern

    B - Circle of Influence

    My advice focus on B.

A is your concern and you cannot do anything about it. Just do what you can more in your circle of influence (B). it would get bigger than A and you woudl be very happy. trust me. I do it most of my days and feel happy about it.

Umm you already do. Planned parenthood receives 1/3 of its funds from government grants. But only 3% of their services include abortions and other surgical procedures.

Don't be fooled by the carefully orchestrated scenes the Republians have put out there telling people to yell and create chaos and just act stupid.  There are alot of people that want SOMETHING done and alot of people who have no clue what it is at all.  What we really need is for the government to tell us exactly what it is they are planning for healthcare so it can be debated and decided upon by a majority. So that wastefulness can be cut out and solutions that could actually work can be implemented. That is democracy.

You are lucky that your kids get excellent coverage, but I have a soft spot in my heart for the kids who get no medical coverage.  I believe all children deserve some kind of medical coverage.  It is not the poor kids either, because most of them get medicaid.  I am talking about the children of people who work, but are not poor enough to get welfare, and not rich enough to afford proper medical care.

I know  lot of ppl who fall into that catagory. I know it's bad. I just don't like the solution the gov is coming up with. I don't know what the soution is...but I don't want my tax dollars going to a baby-killing-and-lazy-person-taking-advantage system. If we can give the help to the people really neeing it and really working and people who don't want to kill babies or use them in labs...show me it. But you will never find it because there are too many ppl out there wanting a free buck, another chance to screw someone and not pay the consequences and give the baby to someone who will love him/her...but I suppose I should shut up because a lot of ppl I conjecture, don't agree.

I just do not like that you have to have this insurance.  I think it should be a choice.

I hate all of the stuff going on and watching people argue on television, but I am going to enjoy my life and not let all of this stand in my way.  I do not want to give one minute to being upset over this stuff as I feel I cannot do anything either.  I enjoy the day and my family and all I can do is hope for the best.

On a more serious note, you could just turn of the TV and try to enjoy your life while you still have one.

Focusing on politics would make anybody sick right now.

I vote for 'Circle of Influence' option. smile
