Spurious adverts on first opening a hub
Hello again -
I asked this before but probably didn't explain very well. Often, when I open any hub, I get a spurious ebay advert on the left, about 3 inches from the top. This breaks the layout. After one or two page refreshes, it goes away. It happens in Firefox and ie7, and it happens on different computers. The crazy thing is, the advert is always for dog food! I've tried clearing caches and everything I can think of. Has this somehow got stuck in my profile, or are other people experiencing the same thing? Any help welcome. Thanks for the response, but I still don't really understand. Surely it can't be in hubpages' or ebay's interest to display ugly, broken adverts in the middle of main content? It looks naff, to quote Princess Anne

Well, I suppose it's taught me something about optimisation - as these guys are the professionals, it must mean that misplaced, ugly, irrelevant, barely comprehensible ads are the most effective after all
(that was a response to a comment that someone whose name I've forgotten posted, but he's deleted it for some reason. Pity - it was a good comment. Now it just looks as if I'm spamming my own thread - oh well...)I think curiosity gets the better of the errrr..... viewers?
