Hi All,
New at this. Posted four hubs in four days. Thought I was doing well. I checked the other day and my four hubs were showing up (indexed) by google, albeit really, really down the list. That's ok, and to be expected.
Today, I find out that three of my four hubs have been de-indexed. It is nowhere to be found in google. If I check with the "site:http://hubpages.com/hub/Title-Of-My-Hub-Here" command, three of my four hubs are gone!
What has google done? Are they always this evil with little guys trying to publish a few paragraphs for the world to read?
It is very normal - for new or old hubbers. Nothing to worry about - make a few incoming links and you will be re-indexed - sometimes it takes as long a 3 months to get back up the rankings though.
I think this is fairly normal for new hubs, especially from new hubbers. People with dozens of hubs already don't seem to experience it as much.
Sometimes in this situation Google will even give you pretty good position for a day or so just to tease you, then you are out of the index for two weeks.
Thank you for the feedback everyone. I will be patient and continue to write up additional hubs. Hopefully they will all start showing up on google again. So unsettling that google wields so much power.
Yes it is unsettling.
But you can always hope Bing makes a dent in Google's Search market.
If that happens, Google may become more friendly as far as users go.
And to all the people that think Bing can't phase Google, remember when AOL ruled the internet?
Yes, really they did at one time.
Oh, I remember AOL back when I was a so much younger, signing on by dial-up, and getting that "You've Got Mail" voice. That was so exciting back then, keeping in touch with friends across the country by email and IM. Oh well, that was back in the mid 90s, I think. And you're right, AOL was KING. Then google was born. Now here we are. I hope Bing can grow up fast enough and help provide us with diversity in the search business.

I now have 11 hubs that are not indexed by google - nothing published since July 12 (the last one was published on the 9th and indexed yesterday). Normally I've seen then set up with 24 hours, occasionally in 48, but now it's 8 days and not done!!??

Hubbers, I'm sorry that we can't tell you why your traffic is going down or why Google was showing Hubs on hubpages.com and now has reverted to showing them on the subdomain. We are similarly frustrated. We do know Google announced a panda update last week. We also can see Hubs...

Five days ago I opted out of Editors Choice hubs. Today I checked my Google Webmaster index and found that only 37 out of 80 hubs are being indexed. None of those that were once Editors Choice were listed. Using their tools I recrawled my site, but nothing changed. Does anybody know how to get...

I’ve had a hub scraped by 2 different sites in the time between when a hub goes out of ‘pending’ into ‘featured’ and when google indexes that hub. The copies are ranking above me for a couple of terms – the scraped articles were indexed 18 hours before mine was [EDIT: I've just checked - my...

I am wondering about a new strategy i am trying. What I am doing is putting an RSS Feed into my best performing (Viewed) hubs with my latest (not indexed by Google) yet hubs. IS this a good way to have them "crawled"? Or is it better to add links instead so each hub stands alone?

I seem to be having some real trouble with getting some hubs indexed, and don't understand why. Out of 75 hubs, 13 are now not indexed, dating back to 5-24. I realize that hubs will index and de-index, but it seems to have gone too far. I changed titles on several hubs the first...
