Wow, it wasn't enough that you spammed the Squidoo forum with this, you had to do it here to....

It wouldn’t be right if squidoo got spammed and hubpages didn't.

Seems to be gone from here too.

Though the first post was deleted and not the entire thread.

For those that came in late... someone else made a post for yuwie. Which at a glance seems to be some kind of pyramid scheme of a social networking site. Though I could be wrong.

It's some sort of paid social bookmarking site.  I've had a few folks invite me to join but I find other things work better for me than bookmarking sites.

And yeah, here they just delete errant posts and not the entire thread... kinda funky if you ask me....

Yuwie is a social networking site much like Myspace in format but at the moment it's alot cleaner..for how long that will be who knows??!
and the post looked like it was a group that you can create which you can post about anything and build small tiny communities of like minded people...I'm a member over there too!!

Yuwie can't be considered a pyramid scheme because people that join are able to do so for free. A legit pyramid scheme requires that members pay an amount of money and the people at the top make all the money. Yuwie pays all of its members a share of the RSR (revenue sharing rate) for the month. So it costs nothing to join and you get paid for page views and referrals. So far I have only been a member for less than a month. I will have to wait a while to see if I can actually make anything substantial with it. For me its worth a try. I wrote a hub that reviews the site. Check it out.

I agree it's not a pyramiding scheme because they don't ask for money to join. But they overhype the earnings whereas it's really not worth to join if you don't have hundreds of referals under you because you would make only a few cents after several months according to testimonies smile

Well it is true that you wont make a lot of money at first. A true estimate of earnings would be affected by the # of referrals you have and the amount of page views.

As for the amount of referrals. I joined and didn't have any referrals. You have to advertise and get that message out there to people. This is the hardest part about anything done online because getting people to look at your content online means to be a good marketer.

I don't let that discourage me though from trying to make something out of it. I know that its going to take some time and some work. This is true of most ventures and success stems from the effort put into it.

I think that there a lot of people that become discouraged after a month or two and just decide that what there doing can't make money and they give it up. You can't do this, you have to re-evaluate what steps your doing and make adjustments to your plan. Then re-impalement those corrections and wait to see if it works.
