Mine was a little while ago, I received a letter from a Lawyer, you know the kind that wants to give you $10000000000 for being the b.s. to someones Estate. They use a silly name like Mr Taylor Esquire. That is so it looks important. Well thats all well and good because Mr Taylor esquire has many strings to his bow, He is now selling Cialis, and claims that it has made him... Well ya don't want to know, what it has done for him, but you get my drift.

I'm sorry a common spam letter has managed to qualify as your weirdest online experience.

My friend wasn't as lucky she got a Russian prince and he was a Multi millionaire, he left an envelope on the cafe Table, and it was his discharge from a Physc Unit.  We still laugh about it. Far as I know Russia doesn't have Princes. must check that, I should know.

You have to scope them out well...  My little sister has the same problems.  No, there are no longer princes in Russia...

I am supposed to be studying to be a regular old architect, but have decided to opt for Landscape Architecture.
I thought the Czar that was killed's family  was the final Russian Royal Family, and the Anastasia thing. But thanks, I really wasn't sure.

This may not be "impressively weird", but I once got a writing assignment for article through an online site.  It was about discount brokers, so it was a straightforward article as far as information goes.  I know how to write a professionally written article, so I did and sent it to the guy for approval or revisions.  He first said it was fine.  Then he asked if I'd add a bunch of new stuff to it as a "revision".  I added the new stuff, and he said it was fine.  Then he thought up yet more new stuff he wanted, and the people on the site that matched the assignment apparently drew the line.  In the meantime, he wasn't "officially accepting" the article, so I was waiting to hear more from him.

I decided to look on his site just to see if the article was there, and it was - but he had hacked the heck out of the first paragraphs in it.  He destroyed all my proper grammar and replaced it with horrendous broken English.  He didn't even really change anything as far as information went.  It was as if he hated my good grammar and just decided to undo that!!  So, there was my previously well written article - a big, humiliating, horror show!!  I have no explanation other than he was some kind of nut!  Fortunately, I have a copy of the original article; but I can't offer the link to his site if I want to show a sample.  The "killer" is that this idiot has a financial site, and he posted that mess on his front page!   roll

I know exactly what you mean, I did up some flyers for a Client, and he was Indian, and he butchered all the Real estate details by putting" Very lovely" in front of everything. Then to add insult to injury, he writes at the Bottom "Enjoy Please"

The weirdest experience I think is right here at the HubPages forum.

Sockpuppet shows without end... banned members who just can't stay away... so much hate and venom in the religious forum...

They should change the name The Hubber's Hangout to The Hubber's Asylum.

When I discovered someone had an alterego. Someone who's been playing my friend all along, but was attacking me with a different id. Just a reminder - never trust anyone, especially not in a pc forum.

I have a woman stalker. Of some 7 or 8 years standing now. Is that good enough to be classed as weird?

And stalk really is the right word. The only thing she hasn't done is physically harm me. Mentally disturbed me a time or two, granted. But no frog extermination attempts. Though she has threatened to do so on occasion.

Her last contact with me was recent and semi-malevolent. Usually she's one way or the other but maybe she's trying the nice/nasty/nice approach now.

Weirdo's. You just can't find the same quality as back in the day ...

YES this is a great learning experience..... i think the acceptance of people does not stand in the way of growing..... I love hub pages, i actually think it is the one of the best things i have ever done..... i know you are not that scary.... i had a very sheltered up bringing..... and most people don't like the religion i was brought up in..... i stay away from religious forums now..... and just relate to people on other levels were feelings don't run so high.... nice to meet ya..x

My wierdest online experience BEFORE reading this thread was, some guy I dont know emailed me a pic of a man peeling off his face. It was disturbing and gross and I have NO clue why someone sent me that. Hi Brenda, hows your new job and home and all? I like your new avitar. Hi FieryCj, I didnt know anyone was ever mean to you? that is wierd.  wink  Hi Misha, how is your traveling? Hi Frogdropping, dont worry about Gulliver, I am sure hes jsut stopped off to peek thru some bushes. And I think your stalker thing takes the cake. That is beyond wierd. He everyone else I forogt to say hi to. have a good day!!

  18. frogdropping profile image78
    frogdroppingposted 14 years ago

dennise - *hmmmmmm* at the bear.

And my stalker? You know what she did recently? She actually tracked down my daughter via the net, added her in some guise or other (a teen one) and got chatting to her.

It only came to light when my daughter popped this out " mum lol I have this girl, all she wants to do is talk about you! How weird is that?!"

Obviously the bells rung, I confirmed it was 'her' and I put a stop to it. And that resulted in the usual email response from my stalker. And a lecture for my daughter. And added worry about how accessible and vulnerable our children are via the internet.

Seriously, it's all very odd smile

At least she's consistent. If a little disturbed.

The story, dennise: Way back when msn had chatrooms, I frequented one. I was always getting kicked out because my inner idiot self is slightly out of control at times. Anyway. she was the 'owner' of it.

She was friendly enough and through talking and time (and some henpecking from another friend that felt sorry for her) I said she could come down and visit us.

She did. She was supposed to stay the weekend. Three weeks later I packed her up and forced her onto a train.

And when I say force ... I'm not kidding. I was thoroughly horrified. And from that day to this, she's always found out when I've moved, new email adresses etc.

Oddly enough she's rather wealthy and, in my opinion, real life evidence that money does not buy you happiness.
