Surely it depends what you search for?
However, out of my hubs which I actively track I have at least 15 hubs on the front page of Google for my targeted keyword so in effect over half my hubs are on the front page of Google for the targeted keyword/main keyword (many times I haven't targeted a keyword but the hub is on the front page for this particular keyword). For example for the keyword 'Cribbs Causeway' (it's a place in the UK) my hub also titled Cribbs Causeway ranks in position number 4 in Google.com and number 5 in Google.co.uk.
However, as can be seen, I rank higher on Google.com than for Google.co.uk (Hubpages is an American site) and since many of my hubs are on UK based topics I probably miss out.
Bristolboy do you live Bristol uk or America? I am uk.
I just looked have joined your fan club and a bristol city fan.
Good to see another Bristol City fan on Hubpages!
Just realised the original question was also for Yahoo. When Yahoo is used I have even more of my hubs in the top 10 (at least 20 of my 28 hubs). I have always found that hubs rank higher, quicker, in Yahoo than in Google (although there are exceptions for myself where the hubs rank higher in Google - particularly those with lots of backlinks).
Two that I know of. I have a couple also on the front of Comcast's search engine.
I have many but the best one which is not only on first page but is first search result is "what is delegation". Type this on google and check. I wrote this hub 2 years ago.
No idea. I'm too lazy to look. Anyone want to waste five minutes, then come back and tell me ...
And those of you that have got to the first or second page - bloody well done!
An easy way to do it is to use a program called Rank Checker. All you have to do is type in the keyword and website and it will be able to give you the rank for a large number of different search engines.
well has help me find out my one hub in google. His done good favor for me but his out now and back later.
I have ten or so of my hubs on the first page of Google and Yahoo a few more for the keywords I targeted. I have one of my videos at number one also and as a tip to help your hubs get a higher ranking here's what I do;
Keyword target your campaign
Produce a video for youtube using the longtail keyword
Tag the video and use the keywords in the title and description
embed the video into your hub
add the same tags to the hub and a similar title
This should get a lot of early traffic to your video as google likes videos and your hub will tag along happily behind!
Hope it helps
By the way, the video I have is just for fun but a Google search for the term "The coffee house letter by Mike Dillard" should show it at 1,2 or 3 if you want to see what I did..
Neil Ashworth
I have one for the singer Lidia Guevara that has done better than her own official site and her Myspace and Facebook sites and often is top of the search results for her name! I think that is my best result!
Isn't that great when you top the person's own site? That would make an interesting hub challenge I guess - 30 hubs about 30 high profile celebs in 30 days with the intention to get them all on google's front page...
Maybe something to think about.
Well that is not a bad idea to create a hub about celebrities.
I'd be concerned about libel, and copyright on pictures.
No need to create a photo gallery, just 2-3 pics would be sufficient, and getting those pics should not be a big deal, I suppose.
Well I have Peaches Geldofs Tats on the front page but she said it's ok as her tats are always on the front page
I have one hub that is ranked in yahoo as #7 (first page) and another one of my hubs is at the top of page 2 in yahoo (#11) In other words, it's number 11.
I'm still crossing my fingers for Google.
And of course my Johnny Depp hub is number 2 on Google, those ladies deff love Johnny as it gets loads of views daily !
Man, that guy never ages! I remember when the chickies were going gaga for him when 21 Jumpstreet aired!
Hey where's the Johnny Depp avatar? I love the most recent one from the Pirates of the C series.
Seriously, does this include those key phrases (as opposed to key words)?
I have found putting good phrases in the summary text helps, in the Peaches Geldof and Johnny Depp ones I totally loaded the summary text panel with key phrases and it seems to have worked.
mine i don't know. Can anybody please tell me if i have? hehe thanks
Yer hub " The song that touched my heart " is at number 3, here check it out !
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&am … &meta=
See ya all later
really? ok il check it out. Thanks for the info. Tc
yes i seen it now. I'm quite laughing here coz I didn't know it could be there. Thanks BC
Okay, if I use key phrases then I have around 3 in the first page of google. Thanks Badco.
Many of my hubs are on google page 1, however, it depends on the keys words they are searching for and how much competition is out there. I find that posting videos on your hub also helps your ranking along with time.

I have read many forums over the last couple of months on how traffic to HubPages has dropped considerably since July. After much investigation I believe to have figured out what has caused this drop (and I don't think it was the algorithm change).I keep statistics on my keyword performance for...

I know the more exposure we have, the more chances for page views. That is not what I am asking about here. I am wondering if we are effected by the quantity of hubs over the quality of maybe a smaller number of hubs.I am looking to delete more older hubs (seasonal in a way) to help boost the more...

I would like to ask.....In your experience would you prefer to have one or two keywords that are highly targeted? Or would you try to have those targeted ones plus as many less targeted keywords as you can think of?Is there any downside to having loads of keywords for a page?

When I do the link:'url' thing on google for my hubs, nothing comes up for the hubs that I've done backlinks for on ezine and other places. Does that mean google isn't counting my backlinks to my hubs? When I use http://www.checkbacklink.com/ it does pick up the backlinks.Anyone have any...
