when you want to do something wrong or evil then how do you not do it?
1) when you want to do something wrong or evil then how do you stop and not do it?

2) or if you give into doing it, knowing it was wrong before you did the act, or you do something on accident and purely unintentional. what do you do then?
a) hide it and hope nobody finds out?
b) conspire with someone to help cover it all up?
c) think about it for a while and then admit it?
d) tell a close friend to get it off your chest?
e) blow it off and not care thinking everyone does stupid stuff?
f) deny it when confronted by others that you did it?
g) blame it on someone else or that you had a bad day?
h) admit it right away and tell the person your very sorry and do something to rectify the situation, you know, make amends and make sure all is well?
***you can answer question #1 or #2 or both.
In reply to question # 1....I feel it depends on ones basic instinct / traits, the way one has been raised and more importantly on the spiritual quotient. I've seen people who try hard to retaliate / take revenge / cause harm but are not able to do so only because their conscience does not permit. The means it's the conscience which pulls the reins.
Question # 2....I would admit and ask for forgiveness. That's the only way I can sleep.

This is going to sound really self-righteous (and I'm honestly not a self-righteous person), but I don't ever have the urge to do anything "evil". There are times I've done things that are wrong without intending to (like hurting someone's feelings without meaning to). If I do that kind of thing I have no trouble at admitting it and apologizing.
My big "out-and-out", intended, "wrongs" are more along the lines of spending too much money (it's my money, but I'll justify it to myself and probably not tell anyone else if it was a "biggie") and doing something like eating some unhealthy food (in which case, again, I'll justify it to myself by thinking, "I don't do that too often.")
If there's some time when I make a decision to do something that's "on the wrong side" I have no problem owning up. That's a luxury that comes with being mature - being able to just own up and deal with the outcome. Another part of being mature is if you're a good person you don't want to do "evil" anyway; and since you don't have parents making rules about what you should do, a lot of the opportunities to do "wrong" are eliminated. WOW now that's a nice honest answer.
and thus you avoid further temptation as many places exist to go have a drink at.

There is a problem for me in the question.
I believe people do not want to do evil, we are evil. The more conscious we become the more we recognize our own evil and the less we project our personal evil on to others. that's why it is written in the scriptures that sin crouches at the door and wants to master you but, you must rule over it.
