    1) when you want to do something wrong or evil then how do you stop and not do it?
(you can answer this one alone if you wish)

    2) or if you give into doing it, knowing it was wrong before you did the act, or you do something on accident and purely unintentional. what do you do then?

    a) hide it and hope nobody finds out?

    b) conspire with someone to help cover it all up?

    c) think about it for a while and then admit it?

    d) tell a close friend to get it off your chest?

    e) blow it off and not care thinking everyone does stupid stuff?

    f) deny it when confronted by others that you did it?

    g) blame it on someone else or that you had a bad day?

    h) admit it right away and tell the person your very sorry and do something to rectify the situation, you know, make amends and make sure all is well?

***you can answer question #1 or #2 or both. big_smile cool smile

#2 for me is H and sometimes C

In reply to question # 1....I feel it depends on ones basic instinct / traits, the way one has been raised and more importantly on the spiritual quotient. I've seen people who try hard to retaliate / take revenge / cause harm but are not able to do so only because their conscience does not permit. The means it's the conscience which pulls the reins.

Question # 2....I would admit and ask for forgiveness. That's the only way I can sleep. smile

If I know that something is wrong, then I just don't do it. Period. Full stop.

If I want to do something evil, I sit back and wonder how I would like to be treated if I were in that same situation. That always stops any evil thoughts pretty quickly.

Any or all  of the above, depending on the situation.  I do adhere pretty much to the principle of,

"Take what you want (good, evil, whatever); just don't complain about the price when it comes time to pay the piper."

Stated another way, in the words of Robert Blake's character in the old "Baretta" TV show:  "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time."

Or words to that effect.  Nothing original in the thought, but considerable truth.  I'm sure each of my 6 ex-wives felt I was being pretty evil when I dumped each one of them over the years, for example, but I don't regret having done so in the slightest...and neither does Pam, my current wife (yes, #7).

thing is, you cannot take anything seriously especially on the Internet! lol

I think it's bad if you resist "wrong doing" or rather "hate evil". There's a big tendency you already did something wrong and the catch is, you didn't see it coming. I really believe that people become what they hate the most, especially if they are so passionate about it.

This is going to sound really self-righteous (and I'm honestly not a self-righteous person), but I don't ever have the urge to do anything "evil".  There are times I've done things that are wrong without intending to (like hurting someone's feelings without meaning to). If I do that kind of thing I have no trouble at admitting it and apologizing.

My big "out-and-out", intended, "wrongs" are more along the lines of spending too much money (it's my money, but I'll justify it to myself and probably not tell anyone else if it was a "biggie") and doing something like eating some unhealthy food (in which case, again, I'll justify it to myself by thinking, "I don't do that too often.")

If there's some time when I make a decision to do something that's "on the wrong side" I have no problem owning up.  That's a luxury that comes with being mature - being able to just own up and deal with the outcome.   smile  Another part of being mature is if you're a good person you don't want to do "evil" anyway; and since you don't have parents making rules about what you should do, a lot of the opportunities to do "wrong" are eliminated.  smile

If I am tempted to do something wrong, I always think about the consequences. Can I face the consequences or not?

    Example:
This is a scenario. A lady meets a guy for the first time, they go to the cinema, after have a meal, it gets very late...  He asks her back to his for a night cap.

Now if I were this lady, my head would rule my heart (thinking of the consequences) and I'll politely decline.
