My First Amazon Orders!!! But.......

   It is showing that two items have been ordered, they must have been today or last night......
   
   But no money is yet showing in my Amazon balance? Is this because the sale has not yet been fully processed?
   
   I am delighted because they have actually bought a product that I recommended through a so called 'sales page'... and I was very very close to deleting that page.
   
   They have bought a pair of goalkeepers gloves (soccer) which I recommended, but they have also bought a pair of shin pads too!
   
   This is a great feeling, but when do I find out how much I have earnt?

   I do better with adsense and ebay than I have ever with amazon.  Still waiting for reach my pay out with amazon.  However, I probably could try writing more hubs targeted on specific products, which is probably something I should try.

   But hell, I'm still delighted that I actually managed to sell an item that was recommended by me.

      I've done that.... and set my sights high. I have chosen $200 by cheque, so at this rate I will be paid sometime in 2014!
      
      It costs a lot to cash a cheque in dollars in the UK, well about $20..... so that way I would be paying 10% of my earnings to deposit.
      
      I have a lot of sales pages to write now to achieve that!

    Yes. Christmas hubs should be out there in the next few weeks.
    
    I love when people buy things that I've recommended, but I also love when they buy other things, cuz I still get paid. The trick is to grab the attention of folks who are shopping for SOMETHING and then lead them to Amazon. My Amazon sales are about 50% products I've referred, and 50% products they've purchased via my links but not products I've referred.

       Same here! Just a week ago I started a thread to discuss the pros and cons of having Amazon.... but a few more orders would make me a huge pro-Amazon hubber!

    Congrats on your first sales.
    
    Amazon can be a good part of online earnings from hubpages if you write hubs here and there that are solely geared towards amazon items.
    
    My method is to browse through Amazon for products I think are sellable but not market saturated, do a little research using adwords to see what keywords are profitable relating to the product and which ones are being searched for and then write the hub using these keywords. I try not to write about specific items, but about what the item is. IE: Instead of writing about a specific Black and Decker juicer, write about juicers in general, recipes to use with juicers, or highlights of various different juicers. Specific products will stop being purchased eventually, but juicers will be around a long time.
    
    This gives your hub longevity. Without trying, you can do pretty well with adsense too if there are good ads matching your hubs since your hub is geared towards a "buying decision"
    
    I started doing this in March and went from under $10 a month  to now bringing in at least $50 a month just from Amazon.
    
    Oh ya and FYI: I switched to direct deposit for payments after my first. Am not a fan of a $15 check cutting fee.

       That's great, thanks for sharing.  By the way, not sure you got my message before but I linked one of your hubs to my Guide to backlinks.  Hope you're getting the traffic I am.. that hub has had a hub score between 94 and 99 for the last 2 weeks.
