You might have better luck if you call them 'hubbers'.
Although be warned that people dont take kindly to people begging for fans. I gain my fans by writing something that has appealed to them, thats the normal protocol.
If somebody reads something of yours that they enjoy, they will add you so that they are notified of your further hubs.
The more you write, the more likely you are to grab somebodies attention.
Of course, welcome to hubpages.... silly me.
But, my advice is still correct.
The way to get fans is to write lots of hubs, comment on lots of hubs, and participate in the forum. But not asking for fans, I have never seen it work for anybody
Just to add.... your hubs look to be good quality, so I am happy to be your fan. But keep producing quality content, and your fanbase will grow naturally. It is also a lot more pleasing when somebody joins your club because they really wanted to, as opposed to simple pity
lol Ryan you're funny. So why did you add me ryan huh huh huh huh ? My hubs ain't that great
Are you a liberal or a conservative meany head? Not that I really care...
I became your fan because I really like your hubs. I don't usually fan people who beg either
Hey UW I posted your stories to my hub...the second one Cat Angel's Story 2 so ya know And I read them sooo cute!
Welcome Zadrobi. Fans are people who admire your work. So the way to get fans is to write good stuff!
Participate in forum discussions - not by starting new threads for no reason, but by answering (intelligently or humorously or both), and people will start checking out your profile and your Hubs, because you sound like an interesting person. Fans will grow naturally from that.
Bear in mind, though, that having fans and making money are totally unrelated. Your Hub audience is a lovely thing to have, and is part of interacting with the community. But they don't buy stuff - the traffic you really want comes from search engines, not from your fan base.
Real fans will follow a person who has a good track record.
4 days and 2 hubs isn't a track record.
Hahaha well I'm happy to have you as a fan Ryankett and I know that your comments only show that you care. By the way: for Hubbies I was going for Buddies. That doesn't play? Well, shucks, I thought I had something. How about this cosette: I kiss a pig and you pledge your undying allegiance to me. Yes?
Thanks for the replies and taking the time to read my first hubs. I really do appreciate it!
You now have 14 fans Zadrobi that means you better get to writing hubs lmao just kidding
hahaha Yes ma'am! This is really just something fun for me to do when I'm bored at work.. the rest of the time I'm swamped with homework and have no extra time for it.
I appreciate everyone's comments and taking the time to read my my first hubs. I know it isn't protocal to post a thread like this and that gaining fans through writing is the best way... just try not to take this thread too seriously.
Hahaha yeah. I get the feeling that those hubs would have strong, bitter overtones.

Im new here, only a few days. I love the site, easy to use, and from everything I have read here the people sound very nice with their comments. So my only question for now is, what is the best way to get fans?
by Theblackorean2010 14 years ago
So, I get on here everyday reading about ways to make your hubs better, how to build your fan list, how to increase traffic, how to make money etc. And, one thing I keep hearing is "It takes time" and I am cool with that but in the mean time I want to make sure I am giving my all to...

I look around the forum and it seems everyone has at least twice as many fans as the go hubs. I have 99 hubs and 98 fans. Maybe it was a mistake to use my real picture. Maybe I'm using the wrong mouthwash; I don't know. How does everyone get so many fans?

I'm throwing down the gauntlet, Hubbers. Publish one Hub every day this April. I dare you. And make these the best Hubs you've written yet.The challenge is not only to publish 30 Hubs in 30 Days - one for every day in April - but to publish Hubs that include...*A long-tail, niche...
