Since starting the hubchallenge I have noticed a couple of things.

    1. My hub score has dropped.

    2. My traffic has increased

    3. My fans that normally stop by my hubs, stopped coming by.

    4. Building a hub each day takes a good chunk of time and consumes most of your free time.

I am going to see this through to the end because I have 18 left to do and I will get it done.  Being at the halfway mark (almost) I expected more, but we'll see how it is after the eighteenth hub is published and the challenge is completed. I.E 12 done + 18 more to publish = 30.

Stick with it, Wes!  I know you'll complete it (truth is, I don't seem the type to quit anything).  Good luck.

Looks fine to me. And anyway, as long as your overall hubber score is 75+, who cares?[

Now that's a good thing! smile

While it might (underscore MIGHT) hurt your hubscore ever so slightly, it won't hurt your earnings. Hubbers aren't supposed to click on ads and don't buy products.

Um, yeah. That's why I didn't make it past day two...

Do you mean "I" don't seem the type or "you" don't seem the type?

Geez, sorry Wesley.  You don't seem the type!

I know it is foolish to put any value on the hubber score but I can't help it sometimes.  I want a 100 just once.  After that I could really give a rip, so long as it stays over 75 like you said.

Anyway, I am getting to the point of irritation with the whole thing.  Like Dohn says though, I am not the kind of guy to quit, especially because all I have to do is publish the hubs I wrote.

Once finished I am going to think about redesigning my whole concept of hubbing.  Like types of articles/hubs written and such.

P.S.  Thank you for supporting me, I appreciate it.

You've been here two months and are worried you haven't hit 100?  It takes time.  Writing regularly has paid off for me in many ways, including seeing my first 100.

Like Irohner said, hubber fans don't click on ads.  You want to attract the general public and they typically don't leave comments or let you know they've been there.  You can only tell by your pageviews, hub stats, and your Google Analytics to tell you where your traffic and your money is coming from.

I'm not sure how other hubbers do it, but sometimes my time is limited. I still often read the hubs of those I'm a fan of, but may not necessarily stop and comment.  I will always leave them a thumbs up if I don't have time to comment.  So, chances are your fans have been by, they just may not have left a mark.

Of course, I look over and there sits Dohn with a 100 in only 3 months! Way to go, Dohn!

I think it's inevitable that when a Challenge is on, you'll get fewer visits from fans.  There are just too many Hubs being published to keep up - I, for one, have just stopped trying!

You know, I don't even know what my Hubber score is, and I have no idea whether I ever reached 100.  You stop worrying about it after a while.

Thank you, KCC Big Country!  Before today, I wanted only to reach 100 once, just like Wes.  100 is certainly an elusive score to reach.  Please be patient Wesley.  At times when my hubberscore plummeted (I once went from a 99 to a 94 in one hour) I took it personally, which is silly.  It's like a Dow Jones average.  Just read other people's hubs, leave comments, rate them up, and participate in forms and you'll be fine big_smile I'm pulling for you, buddy.

First off I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to you guys, your words of encouragement are much appreciated.

Second, I'll get off my damn soapbox now.  I just got flustered because of the unavailability of stats and such.

    Thank you.

I wish i could hit 100 if just for a day or 2. I was so excited when i hit 99. Have no clue how i did, but....well i guess wonders never cease. smile
You'll get there before you realise it.

And just to make a point....Dohn is now at 96 in less than 24 hours...(looks like 17 hrs, possibly less)....so that's what we mean by how quickly it goes.  Just enjoy it when you have it, and don't give it a second thought when you don't.
