This week has not been one of my better weeks. Was sick at the beginning of the week scheduled a doc appt and found out that I have thrush which is a thing that small kids get blisters all in your mouth etc it is bacterial well looks like it went through the day care where my daughter worked which is where I prob picked it up from. In the same visit I brought up some issues I am having and they retested my thyroid which is totally out of wack to the point of not really functioning and my blood sugar is extremely low.

So having to monitor blood sugars for a week to make a better diagnosis on that and got the med called in for the thyroid went to pick it up they over charge me and have the wrong persons name on the med right med just wrong name.

Get back out to the car it won't start well actually it started sputtered and died then wouldn't turn back over. It finally did or I wouldn't be home now.

Last night my daughter informs me she is moving out and prob to SC with her boyfriend of 6 weeks in a month.

Someone just shoot me now! That is all!

Oh Lou thank you so much. I know it will but it just really got to me today when the car thing happened it kinda sent me over the edge ya know?

Just got off the phone with the mechanic and it goes in on Monday will have to stay in the car hospital for a few days as it doesn't always do this, lol.

I had some car trouble last month myself.  I was driving my daughters to the doctor and my car all of a sudden shut off while driving.  Come to find out my alternator went out.  The piece cost me $200 but I had a friend put it in for me for $60 dollars.  If I went to a car shop it would have costed me $500 to get fixed.

Just think of it this way ... with your daughter out on her own you'll win more arguments around the house. smile

Yeah we will have to decide if it is worth fixing when they determine what exactly is wrong with it. It isn't my car it's dads and has over 100K on it. We have already fixed several other issues and it really is becoming a money pit. I got a$$ed out of my car when the last divorce was final so been driving one of dads ever since then. Makes more sense really since they keep me on their insurance in case something happens to them so he will have to make a decision I am sure he doesn't really want to make right now come next week.

LOL, oh Yoshi that is too funny. It will be just me and the cat again so um yeah no arguments except keeping her out of the bread.

Yeah, well if you would quit outliving the rest of the population, you could stop saying all those goodbyes. I mean really ... being the last Civil War veteran left has got to be tough ... smile  j/k

You have all the reason to vent. sad That is terrible.

Thyroid/diabetes problems are crazy. My mom had (and beat) thyroid cancer, which I wish on no one, but I just remember all the meds she had to take and how crappy she'd feel.

I can't imagine having your daughter move out (I know it's tough for my dad with the though of us growing up) and with a guy she has been with for less than 2 months.

    Bad news indeed.

    I hope things get better.

Thanks Tori and glad to hear your mom beat thyroid cancer. It really does an number on you and as I found out it can plummet the blood sugar which could be all this is since my thyroid is almost not functioning at this point.

The daughter I am trying to just understand at this point. I know she thinks this guy is different and he may be for all I know. I just think it is way too soon.

Again, with the dad thing, I talked it over with him at lunch today and he as always is the voice of reason, she is an adult not much I can do but pray things work out for her. If not respect the fact that she made a mistake and don't say I told you so and welcome her back with open arms.

It is all just making me a bit crazy right now.

Wow, when it rains it pours.

Do yourself a favor and get Mary Shoman's book on thyroid disease and go to Dr. Bruce Rind's website, drrind.com.  I recommend both in the strongest possible terms.  I'll be hubbing at some point on my thyroid misadventures.  That would be "The Third Time Western Medicine Failed Me".  So far, I've published "The First Time...".  I'm on a real rant with healthcare HubMob.

Argh, so sorry to hear about your week.  Bad things come in 3's??? It really does seem things hit simultaneously sometimes.  This hasn't been the best couple of weeks for me either...  Husband's losing his job...  YIPPEE!  Anyway, you're not alone.  So sorry about the health issues, hope it turns out alright.  You're in my thoughts.  smile
