When you feel weighed down by stress, job, life, kids, school, spouse, your mother, whatever, what's the thing/activity that acts as chewing gum for your mind and a stress reliever? Reading, sex, eating, drinking, TV, singing, surfing, swimming, sky diving, sewing (seems to be a lot of "s" activities)? What does it for you?

Lately it's been HubPages. But typically I'm all about reading, some fantasy or sci-fi, anything that let's my mind escape the day-to-day BS.

My potpourri/tart burners, fresh air, fresh flowers, listening to music, a pot of my own coffee (with lots of cream in it), a cup of someone else's coffee outside the house (alone or with a friend), finding something to do online that is not awfully demanding.

You can write while you're having sex? Now, that's skilled.
Are you physically writing while having sex? (That must piss off your lover) or just coming (sorry for that) up with ideas? Either way sounds distracting reaching the prize.

I get some of my best story ideas when I'm swimming laps. That always throws off my lap count.

I love to shop online, so stress free and it's like instant gratification, I like cooking, fragrances and playing BeJeweled on Facebook,  it numbs my overactive mind.

When I'm really stressed I like to call up my band members for a quick impromptu session. Music is a whole pack of bubbalicious crammed into my brain smile

I wish I could do that. We have a piano sitting in our family room I'd love to be able to play. I took lessons when I was a kid, but my teacher's gnarly, arthritic hands frightened me away. Wish I'd kept with the lessons. My daughter is taking lessons, but she's not exactly going to show up at Carnegie Hall any time soon.
