Small Update to site

We just released a minor update to the site that mostly consisted of small improvements and bug fixes.  The change that you are most likely to notice is that we now identify hubs on your my account page that contain links identified as malicious by the Google Safe Browsing API.

These links are fairly rare, and if one of your hubs is identified it doesn't necessarily mean you did anything wrong, as explained in the FAQ entry.

As usual, let us know if you notice anything that is broken or unusual.

      Good Deal Paul!

I just noticed something else. If I'm in the edit mode and move the mouse near a section break I get a new button called "Add here." I love it!

This is going to save me lots of time.

yes this update is important as some people try to put links to malware sites in the comment boxes

This happened to me and Darkside told me how to restrict my comments.  Some creepo made a non-value added comment on my breast cancer hub and posted a link, as well as his name was linked, to a boob blog.  Picked up Mal-Generic-A.

Brilliant!  I never post a malicious link on purpose but sometimes one gets in anyway so this new feature alerts me right off so I can delete the link. Great! smile

See Delores, now we don't have to know,  the HP Team is protecting us with that cutie little green bug so we can be at ease, there will be safety and harmony in HubPages once again...

sorry...I think it's my bedtime,  Goodnight..and thank you Hub Staff for doing all the tech stuff that is needed behind the scenes, you look out for us and we appreciate it!   If I had to know everything that you know or do anything that you do...well, I could never, but also...I could not focus on writing...so thanks!

Thanks, Paul and the HP Team!  I've noticed that bug too.  I hope I never get a malicious link to my hub, but of course it's better to be safe than sorry!

That IS a good improvement!  (Well,  "good improvement" would be redundant, but....)

Anyway, if a potentially dangerous link gets identified on one of my hubs, I'd sure want to be able to slice it out of there ASAP.  My computer's "catch-'em" software seems to be  pretty good at that as a first line of defense--I was hunting for a 500 gallon water storage tank online last week and actually got warned against a site that looked totally innocuous on the surface.

But for a 2nd line of defense, hey, redundancy is good.

Good addition! Just went to "My Account", and checked for malicious links, held my breath, and I am clear. smile

I like the link feature for "malicious links." Was able to use it, find one, and remove it just today. Thanks!
