This is not good. If there is no OPTION for the government to pay the health care costs for some, especially the poor, how will these folks get the medical care they need?
03:30pm Central US Time; your right just saw it on CNN
good question. How much will it cost us directly, for what ever option the do elect? And just think, Nancy said it must have one! Wounder how she final vote now.....lol? Poor Babby!
Guess she'll have to slug down a couple of the new Starbucks special brews!!!!!!! Get all cafine faced.....lmao
THIS IS GREAT!!!
The government has no business involving itself in people's health.
So if poor people get sick, they should just be left out in the cold to die?
Yes, that's part of the death panels. Duh!
Absolutely not, we need to find a way to do this, for all people in need, just not Gov. run.
Let me ask you this, is it easier to pay for health insurance if you have a job or if you don't?
Mandating business and individuals to purchase health care will mean 5.2 million people will lose their jobs. Wouldn't it be better for them to work and to decide on their own if they want to buy insurance? The best way to make insurance cheap is to allow inter state competition.
By the way 1/2 of health care is already paid for by the government. They are the ones driving UP the costs! Adding 46 million people to the health care rtolls, some against their will, will only increas the costs by increasing demand.
Yes we need reform and it would be nice if everyone could afford health insurance but justing having the government (actually you and me) pay for it is not the answer!
Firstly, poor people are already covered the way it is right now. All one has to do is go to an emergency room and they won't be turned away.
Secondly, this is not about healthcare, but health "insurance".
Your stance is either ignorant, or malicious. If you don't understand these basic concepts about the healthcare situation you need to do more research. If you do understand these concepts then quit posting inflammatory threads instead of ones that engender a meaningful discussion.
Thank God! The last thing this country needs is a government run insurance company!!!
So I guess it's all fiction that people lose their houses, etc. when they have to pay for health care?
Some of it is fiction like for instance the tale of the Texas woman who lost coverage right before her double mastectomy! Obama said she lost it because she did not inform the insurance company that she had a history of acne! Bad insurance company, bad! Only problem was Obama did not tell the truth, she failed to inform the insurance company of heart problems and lied about her weight!
Its a little funny that you mentioned fiction, it really is!

Well, I thought the whole point of health insurance was so that that would not happen to people any longer?

What, if any, role should the government play in determining individuals' adoption of health insurance? If you think everyone should be required to have some form of health insurance, why? If you don't think it's necessary, why not? Consider the effects of pre-existing conditions, monopolies on...

BEWARE THE PUBLIC OPTION TRAPBy DICK MORRIS & EILEEN MCGANNAs any good Persian rug dealer knows, you have to hold back a bargaining chit so that you can whip it out at the very end to tie down the sale. That's how Obama is playing the so-called public option in his healthcare program. His plan...

Can anyone explain the Affordable Care Act to me?I was honestly going to make a Hub about this, asking this very question, and I had written 800 something words on the subject. Ok actually it's more like a mild rant, but I think this would be better as a Hubpages question rather than a Hub that no...

HEALTHCARE REFORM TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAINSince March of 2010, the American people have had to suffer under the incredible economic burden of the Affordable Care Act—Obamacare.
