I am not one to post in the religious forums for one reason.
1. If religion is a record of events experienced by different creeds and races with numerous means of writing and speech, wouldnt it be fair to call it spirituality as the removal of all semantic(use of words) boundaries and to say that the human spirit is to complex to be recorded in mere words by predecessors of civilisation. It is easy to quote words. However to truly understand the relationship between you mind, body and spiritual essence using all the major philosophies of mankind is the answer we are all seeking. Not the diferences in belief systems.
Whats your take .
This forum has seen quite few posts regarding the difference between religion and spirituality.
You are welcome , have put my input quite a few times
you know what, i get confused sometimes about what spiritually actually is......... must look it up in the dictionary.
Its what ever you want it to be last time i looked.
They are one in the same. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you will be able to get on with your day.
To make themselves feel important. They feel that if they stand up for something, then they are needed. It doesn't seem to matter if no one cares about what they are standing up for though.
I suppose the rest of us will find better things to do.
Q. What is the difference between Religion and Spirituality?
A. Religion is an institution. Spirituality is an experience.
Agree.
You do not have to "belong" to a Religion to be Spiritual.
Agreed.
However, spirituality doesn't have to have anything to do with religion. Human interaction and connection can be a spiritual experience. Many others things could also qualify.
Some people are both religious and spiritual. Some are spiritual, but not religious. Others are religious, but not spiritual.
I like this one.It sums it up wonderfully.Accepting the difference and the tolerance thereof is the basis of the whole concept.
Having a spirit has nothing to do with religion - case stated
Religion is an attempt to make sense of spiritual experiences, then religion takes on a life of its own. It seems to be an attempt to share, at least at first, spiritual enlightenment and new knowledge.
