What's the trick to getting Ebay to accept your partner application

   I have tried to get Ebay to accept my partner application so that I can begin earning money with their products I have on my hub pages, they have denied my application twice. 
   
   Any tips on getting it accepted with them would be great.

      Same with me. The only thing I can think is that they have a huge volume of applicants and the more they allow, the more they have to pay out, reducing income. Just a guess, but I have no idea why.

   same here, just re-applied yesterday and rec'd a denial this morning. 
   
   something's rotten somewhere.  perhaps those with ebay accounts could shed some light (i.e. how-to info) on this.

      This is the key to all new hubbers.  Have your own website with traffic.  Before Ebay allows hubbers to become members they want to see a tract record.  I wouldn't even attempt to apply for Ebay until you have at least 10,000 page views and a good amount of product reveiw type hubs.
      
      Product review hubs and traffic shows Ebay the potential to convert and since they have changed their business model to that of a PPC, it only makes sense to allow fewer partners that have proven they can draw the traffic.

      I posted a new question on re: this issue because it is slightly different from all the posts on here (so far) about Ebay - about posting a .txt file - which I have - but no place to put it!  It is a little mind-boggling but am guessing eventually it will hopefully work out!

   eBay seems to be looking for quality partners now, simply having a presence on hubpages does seem to cut it anymore.
   
   A couple of free blogspot blogs and buying your own domain will not only help you get accepted to ePn, but open tons of opportunities in the affilaite industry
   
   not to mention creating your own backlinks!

   Having an ebay account in good standing is helpful too
   
   I have two ePn accounts (personal and Business) the first one I got with my own domain and little to no traffic as I didnt want ePn to be aware of my true sites and traffic techniques at that time.
   
   It just seems like they dont feel like they need affiliates as much anymore plus they got gamed really, really hard, some affiliates made 100's of 1000's of dollars cookie stuffing and redirecting traffic right from ebay auctions.
   
   @lrohner, buy an .info domain ($2), point it at the blogspot, you'll get accepted ...most real networks wont be involved with anybody who doesnt  have their own domains, seems like ePn is catching up with that trend

   Well, I guess I will just have to continue writing and blogging before they accept me, but in the mean time I have a notion to remove their modules from my hubs.  Why should I give them free advertising if they won't allow me to earn commissions on their products.

      i agree 100%, if amazon has accepted you, the products are interchangeable anyway. Since everyone has a payout level, if you want to see returns anytime this year, focus on only one or two networks
      
      eBay is no longer a good partnership, now that they have switched to a Quality click pricing system , what used to make me 3-4 sale has returned , .32 cents instead.

         I absolutely agree with this. I'm *this close* to removing every single ebay capsule on my hubs. I'm getting clicks but no payments. Ebay is now determining what a "Quality Click" is. So, even if you refer people and they buy something, you don't necessarily get paid for the click. The discussion boards over there are full of people making sales and still not getting paid for sending the people over.
         
         My understanding is that if my webpage (hubpage in this case) is about Fostoria glassware and someone clicks my ad, but starts surfing ebay and ends up buying Chuckie Cheese memorabilia instead, then that is not a "quality click" and I don't get paid for the referral. In essence, I'm sending people to ebay when I could be sending them to Amazon instead and at least getting paid if they decide to buy.
         
         Ebay is no longer worth it *for me*. I hope the rest of you are seeing different results under the new system.

      Absolutely roadlady, why did you add the capsules in the first place, if you didn't have membership?
      
      I hope you read the other thread - I'm sure HubPages is still working in the background to try to resolve this, but if you're impatient, your only option is to buy a proper domain name and set up a real website. 
      
      I wouldn't worry about it - most people find that Adsense is their main income earner on HP anyway, even if they have eBay and Amazon.

      I think that not having eBay incorporated into Hubs when you go to apply to their program hurts your chances more.
      
      I had eBay capsules up on my Hubs before I applied to their program.  I figured that was the best way I could show them how I would be displaying items from their site and targeting traffic to their auctions.  When you're just starting out, sales are really small anyway, so it's not like they're making some sort of fortune off you and your 3 hubs. 
      
      And I have to say my earnings so far appear to be holding pretty steady since the new pricing went into effect.  Granted, that's only 11 days of data, so I won't really know until the end of the month.

         D'uh, why didn't I think of that?  I didn't have eBay capsules on my Hubs when I applied, but that was a long time ago before everything changed.

            My seem to have balanced out also, early reporting when i commented - seems like a lot of the auctions hadnt closed yet - lots more orange on my graphs.
            
            Im still not sure if its AS good, but not so far off anymore

               this explains the current theories well.
               
               it annoys me, as any smart ebayer know better than to bid before the last 20 minutes, or uses a sniper program, i want credit once it hits that watch list if it is purchased..that better be the case, or ill switch my ebay methods to teh darkside on my sites

         I did have ebay's listings on my hubs when I applied for partnership.  But, I don't have them on there any longer.
