    Hi, Hubbers.

I have done some Googling to try to find sites that offer lots of free images for my hubs. I can't seem to find many at all. And the ones who do charge often have some good stuff but charge too much. I can find images out of my ears, but most of them appear to be copyrighted or offered for sale at an exhorbitant price.

So, does anyone have a list of good sources that you use to find free and royalty-free images?

    Thanks,

    Jimmy Boyd

Flickr often is a good source of images you are free to reuse. Just look for the copyright notice to check if you are allowed to use the ones you're after.

I use istockphoto.com quite a lot as they only cost a few pennies each and I know I can use them all (as opposed to finding a good one on Flickr, then discovering I can't use it).

Google Images is not a free source of images however. It's a search engine of images and as most images are copyrighted, just copying and using images from there means you're almost certainly going to be in breach of copyright and breaking the law.

If you have Firefox, on the top right of your toolbar you can use the drop down box to go directly to Creative Commons and then search for the image you want.  Always be respectful in using someone's image, by leaving a quick note for them or putting their name under the photo in your hub.
