I love the Simpsons. The show is one of the reasons I love America so much!
America can look at itself and have a laugh which I find admirable.
The great thing is that the whole world can do the same.
I feel that the Simpson's success has been due to making strong stereotypes that have some truth for all of mankind.

After about a year in the religious forums, I am sure I have met Ned Flanders in person.
I know we have a hard time as humans with seeing ourselves, but I am starting to think the weird ones have never seen the Simpsons, so I am wondering if it is considered evil by Christians, or if they are not permitted to watch it?

I love the Indian store keeper:
"Ahh Tank you berry much, please come again!"....lmao

Unless you belong to some wacked out religious sect, that wants to think for you, and totaly control you; and unfortunatly they are around! No, no one will restrick what you do, and should not.

Some still sensor these types of programs.  I would die without the Simpsons myself but ...

I also like King of the Hill, American Dad, and Family Guy too.  I think Family Guy is much more, what is the word... offensive but I love it!

I'm nominally Catholic and I love the show.  Family Guy and South Park too.  What can I say, I have a lowbrow sense of humor, most times.  Why wouldn't Christians be allowed to watch the show?

Ihat was kind of a joke. Beings there is no code in the shows, in my opinion. Christians in my opinion have a honor code so to speak. And all these shows are outragious, in my opinion.
        Have a great day.

Earnest seems to think that Christians don't have a sense of humor.

You ever notice, Misha, that Hubpages tends to attract hard core members of some group, religious/atheist, conservative/liberal, etc. etc.  What's up with that?

That's a loaded question.  I've found you to be a very pleasant conversationalist.  I have yet to hear you "shriek" at someone on hubpages.

Why should Simpsons be considered evil in the first place? And why are Christians not permitted to watch it? It's kind of weird to have such rules. That's not Christianity.

They aren't evil, its just outragious. Kind of a cut down on humans, in my opinion.

lol  did you know that Hans Zimmer wrote the film score?? the same guy that wrote the musical score for Gladiator, Dark Knight, etc??

the simpsons allows us to see our absurdity. which is very evident here every day. hmm
