One of my articles has just been rejected by Constant Content for using the "I" word. They reject wholesale everything written in the first person singular (even comedy). Any ideas on this?
Have you tried another word like "My" or "Myself?".
I guess I'm fairly new to writing. So I don't know much.
But, I always try to help whenever MY head tells me...
They're pretty strict about that. You have to write in the second or third person.
"If you want to learn how to...."
or
"If they want to learn to..."
are fine.
"I want to learn how to..." will get you rejected quicker than you can blink an eye.
eye just want to say that eye cant believe that eye can have a hub shot down because eye use to many eyes in it. and eyed like to also state that eye am upset about it. lol hows that ?
I understand that they want informative articles, and they do explain in detail why they don't allow first person singular, but to have a blanket ban is short-sighted.
For example comedy is often more effectivce when told from personal experience (and my article was a comedy piece).
Does anyone know of a site which is keen to accept comedy and creative stuff (apart from Hubpages)?
oh I dont know sites which accept comedy related articles, find one, but you can also edit your article to comply. Thanks for your information by the way!!

Well, I have been writing for Constant Content for several weeks now. I actually got a dozen articles approved, but I am getting rejected for wordiness a lot! Quite frankly, I do not agree with 100% everything that the editors tell me. There is certain information that I think is significant for...

I never had too many problems getting my articles transferred to the niche sites in the past 2 years, but sometimes I make typos or have to italicize or unbold something. The standards apparently are much more strict (professional I guess) and specific because editors are asking me to italicize...

Hi all - no matter what I do, my articles keep getting rejected at Constant Content. The first time they said I sent a blank file. The second time they said they couldn't accept content with the type of address I put in and said I was using promotional content which is not true. I was very careful...

Does anyone know any more sites that pay per article, and not page view, that are not scams?

I have my own blog and I write some articles for Hubpages, but I was curious if anyone had any other places where they submit work. Do you do contract jobs? Or write for another site similar to Hubpages? I'm just exploring my options and seeing what else is out there to run alongside Hubpages...

I'm currently in need of some spare cash and I know there are plenty of sites that offer up front one of payments for articles. I'm willing to write on anything, however I was just wondering which sites are the best for things such as fast payment, not too picky (I've heard some sites will make you...
