Don't (f)lag me this is a true story.

I was listening to the radio NRJ (Energy) in France, and I was singing along 'Thank you, thank you very very muuuuch' when this DJ comes back on and says, in his French accent.

His words, "I cant beleeve zis lady, she signs 'Fuuck you, fuuck you very very muuuuch, and she is making milllooons of dollarrs.'

Had I gone tone deaf or do adults only want to hear the correct words on radio or TV. In the begining I was quite offended,  but all the kids are signing it and they do not seem to have a problem with the (F) word in a song.

Should we really get hung up on words and where do we draw the line??

Have you heard the song mish? I agree with you, but when it is in the public domain who should be the judge?

Na, have no idea what exactly song you are talking about. But I don;t really think it matters. Everyone is a judge for themselves. smile

I think it is a great song, and f the f word, in any movie you see on tv, you hear the f word more than the c word.

I guess people are almost used to the f word.

whatever your tastes are, I think she's rather annoying, but many like it.

      I'm still a Doors fan.

    F word?

    C word?

They're all tame.  Now the Z word - that's a BAD word.  Think about it - you NEVER EVER hear that on TV.  That's 'cos it's such a bad word, they're not allowed to use it.

I just don't understand what's so wrong with the word fang. It's not that bad. Kinda popular with vampire.

    Fang. There, I said it.

The juxtaposition of the bright and cheery melody and the dark lyrics are what makes the song work so very well I think. She's very good at that sort of thing.

Well, her target maket has told me that all the kids have that song on their (ipods). Ninety percent of them speak French or Spanish, so they find the song kinda trendy.

Like when the King of Spain told Hugo Chavez to shut up(in spanish of course) all these kids had that as their ring tone.
