        Try this for XP.

Access the Display Properties dialog box by right-clicking the desktop and selecting the Properties command.

Select the Appearance tab and click the Advanced button.
Select Icon from the Item drop-down list.

Use the Font drop-down arrow to select a font from the list.

Click OK twice -- once to close the Advanced Appearance dialog box and once to close the Display Properties dialog box.

Save everything, re-boot, and it should restore to the original defaults.

Yeah, that's what I meant...that didn't work?  Eeeeeh....If it's JUST internet, not Word, or other text you have stored, the INTERNET VIEW menu might help you out.

You might have accidentally "Zoomed OUT", in which case, unzoom.

Before you do anything drastic try pressing down the "Ctrl" key and use the + or - keys (right of the numbers above qwerty) to change the font size.

Works on most browsers, just in case it's that one.

I have learned something new here. I tried this and it works and I had fun changing the fonts using those keystrokes.
      Thanks, Chapman!

Yeah if you move your finger down the left side of the "touch square" on most laptops then it will either magnify or reduce the size % of the page. It's ssooooo annoying; I accidentally do it once every day on my laptop.
