OK finally got analytics setup on my profile page and its working yeah! However Im seeing stuff IIve not seen with my other blogs/sites.
On my traffic source view I have a lot of yellow - other -which I assume is traffic from hubpages - woudl fit with the hubpage stats - but when I drill down the next level my most common source is "drip54(email)" - what do you think that is?
next is fanclub(email) which i presume is from either my fans or a tag fan? why the email though?
hubpromo - is that from the hubpages front page?
    Thanks Lis

Good luck working it out Lissie!   I've got Analytics going and have absolutely no #$%^&^ idea what it means! LOL

We also use analytics to keep track of all the traffic on HubPages.

As a result of that, you'll see sources that we use internally to keep tabs on things in your reports.  I believe the "drip" sources are the HubPages newsletter, and fanclub is the email your fans get when you publish a new hub.

I have my analytics code in, but it still gives me a message "tracking not installed".  Any ideas of what I've done wrong?  I installed the code on my blog and it worked fine.  Am I missing a step somewhere?
    Thanks!

The analytics codes usually have a dash and a number on the end (ie. -1, -2, -3, etc.).  The code you entered here does not seem to have that.

If you go to analytics settings, click "edit" next to HubPages, and then check status for the HubPages account, in the instructions for adding tracking you should see a line in the tracking code like this:

    _uacct = "UA-######-#";

You want to enter the entire underlined part in your HubPages Affiliate Settings.

On my affiliates page it says my analytics is 'active' but when I actually go to google analytics it says 'Tracking Not Installed". Any useful tips for me? Thanks

Did you just set it up?  The value you entered looks right to me.  If you just put the code into HubPages, I would just check back on it tomorrow, it can take them a little while to start collecting data.

Thanks.  Okay, I've done that for my HubPages profile page, which I assume will give me stats on all my Hubs.  How would I track individual Hubs?

You should get analytics data automatically on all of your pages on HubPages, which would include your profile, all your hubs, plus pages like these:

    http://hubpages.com/author/Lela+Davidson/latest/
    http://hubpages.com/author/Lela+Davidson/health/latest

It may take a little while for the data to show up.

Thanks for posting this question and the solution because by stumbling across it I solved not only my own question about how to get GA working properly on my hubpages, but ALSO reminded me to get it set up better for my other blogs smile

Thanks for the quick answer. I set it up a long time ago, but just checked my original code and they matched. But I re-inserted it and saved it again before I wrote to you.
