I'm curious what you guys think about the new program. Have your sales increased, decreased, or stayed relatively the same?
Also, on the EPN boards, they're saying that pages with Ebay widgets and Google ads the Javascript will cancel out and you lose the Ebay sales. (Something like that) People are saying when they removed the Adsense, they're sales increased. Do you think this is coincidence?
Definitely decreased.
I don't know about the other thing with the javascript I'm afraid.
I haven't even figured out how to get connected with ebay. I have their link on my hub but no way to track if I have any earnings or not. I have an adsense link however and have made a whopping $2.37
My sales totally dried up in April as I made the switch over on all my sites, but this month they've picked back up again and I think they are back to normal now.
What's odd is that a few days ago I had some hubpages related sales turn up on CJ, which is weird because I thought the cookie would have been dead by now since Hubpages switched networks weeks ago. I dunno.
As far as Google and Ebay goes, I don't see any reason why one would have to do with the other, and I'm pretty sure the people on the EPN forum who have concluded otherwise are simply victims of coincidence. They took Adsense off their sites just as surfers with 30 day and 7 day cookies for Ebay started making bids. People forget that surfers don't always bid the first day the cookie is dropped. They may not come back for weeks... which is why sales would have seemed much lower on initial transfer to EPN.
Mark, I've seen a definite decrease as well. It sucks. No ACRU's either; I used to get several.
Embitca, they're saying that the javascript is conflicting and causing problems with the tracking cookie.
Hmm, I just don't know. I run Adsense with Ebay on all my sites and I'm not having any problems, but then I don't run Ebay widgets. I use their RSS feeds so maybe that makes a difference, but I think that if there were a conflict between Adsense and Ebay links then Ebay could easily fix it and one of the "pinks" has replied in that thread that there is no conflict. I don't see them lying about it.
They're saying there's no problem anywhere in their tracking and that all problems are because of people and people copying the link wrong, as I've copied things wrong before. I am not set on that answer. I'm not saying that copying and pasting can cause problems, but for so many people to have the same problem, is kind of iffy to me. And not just in regards to posting Adsense and Ebay on the same page.
But, I don't want to get into that here. I'm just curious if you guys have noticed a change or relatively stable revenue after moving to EPN.
We haven't seen much of a decrease in sales, but if I'm reading the reports correctly there do seem to be some discrepancies between the "transaction report" and what they've actually paid us out -- particularly with the ACRUs. I haven't been following all the discussions on their message boards, but hopefully they will get things straightened out soon ...
I saw much lower sales last month with the new program than I did in the months previous to that one.
Hey embitca,
I don't mean to take this discussion off track, but how do you use ebay RSS feeds?
Sorry guys. I will freely admit I am a writer first, internet marketer second and this sounds interesting to me
Paul, I am very interested in hearing your opinion about the javascripts causing conflict with the tracking cookie, causing you to potentially lose revenue when people click ebay adds when there are Adsense ads on the same page.
I really do hope they straighten things out...
embitca - thanks. I will look into that. I have a bunch of wordpress blogs and have not worked out a way to use ebay.
I should take a course, or buy an ebook or something
Hahha. Buy an ebook.... from my affiliate link
phpBay has a free version you can use called phpBay Lite. If you already have some Wordpress blogs, it'll take you less than five minutes to install phpBay Lite and add a few auctions to some of your posts. It's dead easy.

Hello fellow hubbers!I am curious if it is better to just focus on having adsense featured on hubs and removing amazon and ebay boxes. It's my understanding that Amazon only has a 24 hour cookie. I have had amazon and ebay listings on several of my other niche sites and I have probably only earned...

Has anyone had any Amazon sales in the last few days? I know figures aren't finalized, but I just wanted to see what others are experiencing. Thanks for your input.

I can't believe it. Since I have started earning, I have never had a day when I made nothing. Maybe tonight things will pick up. HubPages, please check to make sure you didn't disable all my ads!

I joined hubpages some 8 months ago and have already published 37 hubs but up to this writing, I haven't earned a single centavo. I am old. I am a normal human being like you. I need money too like you. Whenever I read and hear a hubber shouting to the world he already...

Hi,I have other accounts here (this is my forum account). So far in the two days of Amazon earnings reports in the new HubPages-linked Amazon products, I only see products listed that I directly linked to. Usually I earn commission from products that were bought using my affiliate links...
