Why "the bible causes wars" card will not work

A favorite trend of thinking is that God doesn't set his word in stone and prefers you to receive assistance by more subtle means. Such people will argue that the bible causes wars and murder since the old testament God sent his people the Jews out on murder quests as written in the OT, telling David to hack nations' leaders under saws, etc. Wars and killings in the name of God nowadays is used as fuel for this argument.

But, does that mean that those nations in the bible didn't deserve to be killed, and there was not a nation worthy to kill them? God said they deserved to be killed, because they didn't follow the laws given in Deuteronomy and Leviticus which were 'health and life and riches' for their people, not caring enough for their neighbor. So what is your agenda in saying such people don't deserve death?

So, if you do not think those nations deserve to be killed by the Jews, then apparently it is because your nation would be one of the nations to be killed. That is the only reason you'd cry against it.

"Thou shalt not kill" applied to NEIGHBORS in Israel (love thy neighbor), and Jesus in Israel promoted this kind of love with an added exception to love their Roman enemies until he comes back in "power and great glory" to kill them himself. If you do not believe me, read Revelation ch 19 verses 11-21 for the bloody details involving Jesus on a white horse followed by the armies out of heaven, and feeding the carcasses of his slain to the birds, in fulfillment of the old testament prophecies: "For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood:" (bible)  "Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it." (bible) Jesus will fulfill this.

So the Catholic inquisitors and anyone else starting a war against their 'enemies' before Christ returns are all going against the bible.

Since the world and its christians are all guilty of biblical cynicism, Jesus said to not befriend the world, that "the friendship of the world is enmity with God; whosoever shall be a friend of the world is the enemy of God" (bible). Obtaining a spouse by befriending the world while other people go without is a heinous crime to be punished. Paul called it the "terror of the Lord" (bible). Keep using the "judge not" and "wolves and sheep's clothing" card at me and watch what happens to you in the end. Repent and be reconciled to God or encounter his wrath.

Before you seek to preach 'judge not' at me, clearly judging me in the process like a good little hypocrite, be sure to read my forum post: "Jesus didn't condemn judgment of one another," available here in this same forum, which expains how the 'judge not lest ye be judged' was to make people worthy to judge another, "first pull the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye." (judge others!) Also, "Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?" (judge others! - bible)

"Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?" (judge others! - bible)

Not only are you embarrassingly wrong about the "bible causes war" stuff, but you're totally wrong about biblical judgment.

Let's look at something else you're wrong about.

    Jesus kicking it with sinners.

He went to that wedding for the sole purpose of doing that miracle, to "manifest his glory" as the story says. Nowhere does it say he socialized and congratulated the bride and groom. In fact, he knew people were marrying in a Satanic world as opposed to a God-fearing ancient Israel, and said to them: "For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."

    You're so ignorant of scripture.

Now, about him hanging out with prostitutes. Nowhere did he hang out with a prostitute in the gospels; he only let one go after accusers seized her, trusting her to "sin no more" as he told her, because this was the ONLY window of opportunity she'd have to get right with God before he took the throne THEN condemned people (an event they did not allow him to do). So, that is the only thing Jesus did with a prostitute, told her to "sin no more," and nowhere do you read of him chatting her up further.

So, he did not socialize and kick it at a wedding, neither did he hang with this adulteress.

Christ knew he was to take the throne and fulfill the old testament prophecy in your bible stating: "Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. [Psalms ch 2; to be fulfilled when he returns the 2nd time to take the Jewish throne; see Revelation ch 19 for the gory details involving himself on a horse followed by the armies out of heaven].

The "wolves and sheeps clothing" are men who appear outwardly meek and SHEEPISH with "good words and fair speeches," known for their messages of "God doesn't punish people in hell. God doesn't want christians to judge one another..," while inside they are ravening wolves consuming the pleasures of the flesh with their spouse after having obtained her by befriending the world when the bible says not to: "whosoever shall be a friend of the world is the enemy of God" (James 4:4 - bible).

When it comes to these evil, satanic pieces of useless garbage, which is most likely everyone reading this and getting upset iwth my words, just know that you've heard the truth here today.

Your attempt to find something 'morally' wrong with the God potraryed in the bible is understandable since it is the only way you can have power over God, unable to do so physically or mentally, morals the only avenue available. Such was the serpent's temptation, "Ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil" (gods with their OWN MORALS).

Nations don't kill nations. People kill people. The prospect of a righteous nation committing genocide in God's name against a wrongful nation is simply disgusting. And to defend such a scenario is wicked.

Bless you for the brevity cutting.  I'm thinking this dude likes wicked himself.  Been playing with those serpents a tad too long, something hissy about the tone.

Kill every man who has sinned many times and you give the world to the ants ... for not one of us has never sinned ...

Hey Edward! Buddy! You're back. Still see you haven't written many hubs. Do you need some help regarding what HUBpages is all about?

Some people's one Hub is a whole lot shorter than their - oh, I don't know, say - 50 posts.  I do think Edward could use some guidance by a friend on HubPages (of course, he's not supposed to befriend anyone in the evil world).  I think you should become Edward's mentor/friend and guide him toward turning his posts into Hubs and calling the whole business, "According to Me".  That would give him at least 51 Hubs and free up the religion forum for other people's giant, religious, posts (win/win - sort of  hmm)  (I think my work is done here  lol  )

The bible doesn't start or cause wars.

    People with agendas start wars.
