Recently, a friend of mine tried fixing me up on a date with a woman who she claimed was 'perfect for you, Jon!' Admittedly, we were very clearly attracted to each other and got along great. We had a couple of drinks together and it was a good time. Unfortunately, there must've been a truth serum in her second drink, since that was when she just blurted out the fact that she had a boyfriend whom she lived with . . . but that she would be breaking up with him just as soon as they sold their house . . . whenever that may be. WTF!
Anyone else have a lovely story similar to this one they would like to share?

hi...If she can do that to her BF now, why not with you later.....hmmmmmm...I just so thought that being honest in any relationship is good. She should get out of the first relatiuonship first before moving forward with you....

    Question No.1:
    What is "hopelessly single"?

    1. Jonathan Janco profile image60

Probably not something you could easily conceive of, Lwink
In other words, being single and not liking it.

You know, when there's a problem (e.g. something I don't like and want to change), I tend to go and fix it, be it work or love...
Or is that too spoilt-bitchy-self-centered-egoistic attitude shining through? wink

Take a look at your photo - do you look hopeless? I wouldn't say so...it's only choices - so if you choose not to be single anymore, get into some action, and it will take you max 2 weeks - wanna bet on that?

No it is not too spoiled-selfcenteredy. I am from southern New England . . . you want to see spoiled b***hes? I find it hard to believe they are anywhere else;)
And I'll bet I'll fail to find a willing partner in two weeks.
          btw, what are we wagering?

I have no idea what "hopelessly single" is.  I do have similar stories, from friends wives and girlfriends that have attempted to set me up with their friends.  I would always thank them for their concern and then I would meet them and have absolutely nothing in common with them.  Then I would make an excuse and take my leave.

I think you should give yourself some time dude.  You just posted a thread like a week ago saying that you haven't dated for two years because you wanted to be alone then a week later you had a blind date with one girl who was honest with you.

Were you expecting things to happen immediately?

On top of which you think all the women in your part of southern New England are spoiled brats, not a great attitude and normal women can smell that a mile off and not even bother with you.

If you want to go into things quickly just take some of your friends and blow some money into strippers and booze (like I said on that earlier thread).  But if you want a girlfriend it takes time.

I was stationed in CT for a few years and he is not kidding about the spoiled, snotty attitude that a large percent of them have.  As for your advice, If I could give you a standing ovation on here I would!

        Thanks!

Still, they can't all have been snotty.  Those girls you came across just weren't meant to know you wink

It would make a pretty good hub.  It would have to be edited for content though smile And no not that type of content for you pervs out there.

Actually, the blind date thing happened quite a while ago and just re-entered my mind a few days ago. As for the strippers, there's no need when there's xham and redtube.
