Well, here's a new twist to pro choice. Fetus tisues used for anti aging products. Ethical, of course!

I'm glad I am for pro LIFE.

    What do you think?

I am all for looking younger, but at this price, I have to say it's sick. Whatever next, genital lipstick.

That was disturbing enough that I actually regret having read it.  I'm actually a little nauseated by it.

I'm reluctantly in resigned favor of legal EARLY abortions; but if they have to happen the least anyone could do is have a modicum of respect for remains.

When it's a much wanted fetus that is miscarried people sometimes have them buried in little boxes (sometimes in a cemetery or other area designed for that purpose), or have some kind of little memorial "thing" for them.  Apparently, when it's an unwanted fetus anything, including anti-aging skin products, goes.

It's just another version of the difference between living children who are wanted, treasured, and protected by their parents and those who are not.  With children who have parents who wanted them "the world" would often not dare to mistreat them.  With the ones who have parents who don't care (or don't care as much as they should) it can be kind of "anything goes".  It seems there's always someone out to exploit children, living or dead, for their own money-making and self-centered reasons.  Some people would say, "What's the difference if they're dead anyway?"  As someone who has had a miscarriage myself, I know I wouldn't have wanted even one cell of my baby used for beauty cream and that baby would be 29 years old if it had lived, so I'm long past the throws of the emotion that happens for a while after miscarriage).  What the hell kind of "beauty" would that such ugliness get anybody anyway?   mad

I'm wondering why the tissue is not being used for stem cells.  Is it easier to use the tissue for beauty products but not for research?

Well said Lisa. I never thought of it that way, but you are right. Who is there to protect these unborn children. They call them Fetus, but they are still human.

It is another example of de-humanizing our babies.

But isn't that the point of contention?  I don't think Pro-abortionists look at it as human or embryo.

You're right again, it's either a fertilized egg, zygote or fetus. None of which counts as a baby, it's sad.

yes, the real contention actually is the question, when does life begin? Thats why there is a need to support contraceptive use around the world to prevent maternal deaths due to abortion and abortion itself. maternal deaths due to abortion is the leading cause of maternal death in developing countries,

I do not want to wear any beauty products that contain any human or animal matter.

Thankfully, I don't wear makeup very often and go for the natural products.

It's all gross. If we knew half of what went into these products we would never buy anything.

That is so true. Since I started researching natural products I don't see why we pay so much or put chemicals on our faces.

I would never apply "fetus" to my skin.  That's sick.

I think there are a lot of people like I am - they aren't "pro abortion", but they reluctantly believe it should be legal as long as it's very early.

I can't imagine how anyone could ever, ever, even consider an abortion past the earliest weeks; so I have no idea how they think.  A lot of people that think like I do, though, DO think of the aborted fetus as human being, but a very early-stage, incomplete, one.  A lot of young women who get an early abortion aren't "happily getting rid of their baby".  A lot of them go through awful sadness and guilt when they have the procedure because they think it's better to abort an eight-week fetus than have the baby and not be able to be a good mother or have to take the chance of hoping adoptive parents will be good ones.

In other words, a lot of people hate abortion but think it should be legal (again, at least in early pregnancy).  So, people who think like I do do see even early fetuses "something", and not just "nothing".  Of course, something else is that a whole lot of people don't even see living children as little human beings; so how could anyone expect them to see unborn children as human beings...

      I agree

abortion in my country (Philippines) where I came from is illegal, but data shows that there are almost 400,000 abortions induced abortions done illegally every year, which puts mothers life in danger. Maternal deaths due to abortion is very high. Since it is illegal the women resort to unsafe method, endangering their lives. The government doesnt support contraceptive use either through the help and coachings of the Catholic church.

The government doesnt realize the effect of maternal deaths (due to abortion) to the family left behind speacially the children.

I guess that's why, when I had a daughter old enough that "an accident" could happen (even though it never did, thankfully) I started to see early abortion in a different light.  She's old enough now so that if "an accident" happened it wouldn't be the end of the world.  When I think of how I felt about her when she was fifteen, though, and imagine her making the immature/desperate choice to get an illegal abortion (if they weren't legal here); I couldn't bear ever, ever, imagining her risking her life.  There's also more risks to very young pregnant girls and their babies too, if the pregnancy continues.  In any case, I just found I saw things differently once I had a teenager and discovered that my maternal instinct was still "all about them" more than it would have been "about" a six-week fetus that would have potentially been my grandchild.

you are most definitely correct, that is why there is a need for the home to be a good moral environment for the youth, youth pregnancy is risky enough, how much more abortion, their body is too young for a baby, and they are baby themselves
