Can I hyperlink someone else's hub without their permission?

If you're not using any of their content then it shouldn't be a problem.

    Don't see why it would be a problem - a link's a link! ^_^

Thanks for your replies. I just want to refer to Sour Sop Juice, and somebody wrote about it already. Hence, instead of giving details, I want to simply refer.

If you linked to one of my Hubs, I'd be very happy, and you'd get the same reaction from 99% of Hubbers.  The more a Hub is linked to by other sites, the better Google likes it, so you're doing the other Hubber a favour.

Gee, for a "tech guy" you certainly don't know much about how the internet works, do you?

No, you cant do without permission of hubbers owner becoz its against the rule. But if this is possible then I will be very happy to make my hub hypered to anyone's hub.

What on earth are you talking about?

If you write a Hub and want to mention my Hub, for instance you might say, "Marisa wrote a Hub about this" and include a hyperlink to it, I'd be delighted.  You don't have to tell me and you don't have to ask my permission.  It's not against any rules.

By including a link to my Hub, you do me a favour so I am not going to object and neither will HubPages.

I will object if you copy any of the content of my Hub, but that's totally different.

Wouldn't you want people directing traffic to your hubs?

Has anybody done it before without any problems arising?

Yes, everyone! Go to any of your hubs and you'll see links to related hubs on every single one!

You don't need permission to link to someone's work whether it be on hubpages or anywhere else on the internet.

What's against the law is copying people's work, NOT linking to it.

Gendarme, here's a tip - when people give you advice, check out how long they've been here and how many Hubs they have.  The more experienced Hubbers are more likely to give you the right advice.

      Susana is exactly right.
