    I also like grep.

    My favorite IT code term is:  I - D - TEN - T. It classifies the cause of the glitch.

    For example, if the reason the computer won't boot up is the fact that the power strip is turned off, that is an "ID-TEN-T" incident.

    I'm typing it here as it is pronounced.
    It is written:

      LOL! We had to contact Dell for an RMA once and the tech gave us a hard time by asking us to run a hard drive test on a dead hard drive.

      We explained it was impossible and he said he would not process the claim without a code, so we gave him one I-D-10-T - AND HE ACCEPTED IT! We were on the floor laughing for hours. smile
