Several questions about HubPages that I am having difficulty finding answers to.  (Yes, I already checked the Forums)

Can I write an article in Microsoft Word and "cut and paste" it as a Hub?

Can my Hubs also double as content on my blog?  Cut and paste?

Can I link to sites that I have no relationship to?  (ie...I linke to the freecreditreport.com site in one of my blogs)

Not trying to self promote or scam the search engines of anything like that, just want to save time if it is possible.

Thanks for the help peoples...Have a great day!

    1) yes, but chances are the formatting won't carry over or what does will be an unmitigated mess.

    2) yes, but it will wind up either hurting your Hubs or your blog or both, as duplicated content results in the search engines picking one site as being relevant and then discounting the importance of the others.  It's not worth doing.

    3) Not a good idea, as relevancy is what brings benefit to links.

On number 3 what if the url you are linking is related to your topic but not your site? Surely the web master of that other site would love a natural back link on a hub about what they offer. I have added links to charities that work toward the same problems that I am highlighting in my hub and have even encouraged readers to act by supporting those charities. I could not see a logical reason not to post those links and thought they might be appreciated by my readers so they didn't have to go searching. One of my comments even looked like it came from a person from a charity on the problem I wrote about.

in answer to question 1, I compose and copy and paste in Word and have no problems. It has made it much easier, usually just a few things you have to fix in the text capsule. I guess whatever works best for you. some of mine tend to be longer and take longer to write, so I like to compose in a separate document.

I like to draft in Word, then copy and paste to Notepad to turn everything into simple text format, then copy and paste paragraphs from Notepad into Hub text capsules.
