@ Tim said.. Yeah, I just read a ton of bickering religon posts (which I've been apart of) and just made me realize we are all fighting over small stuff. We forget the bigger picture sometimes
@ Tim said.. Most of you know who read the forums that I believe and know of something far greater than any religion. And it's something you can't preach or show people how to obtain it. Everyone has to find their own way.
ME...TIM Truer words have never been spoken.
@ Cagsil said.. A religious sect or order is all based on core ethical beliefs and serve a higher cause.
ME.. This statement in of itself can not be argued against; It is a good thing to have a good foundation
@ Tim said "Settling" with your religious beliefs is fine but there are things far more powerful and rewarding to complete your spiritual tree. Don't be scared. Just look a little further
ME.. I think that if we would search all of the posts on the Religious forum looking for points of agreement that all of the Atheist and believers have posted we would find many points of truth that we all can agree upon.
I think that we can look for common ground and find it...
Or we can choose to look for the battle line.
If an atheist collected single statements that believers has made that they find in agreement with their ideology and ???
If a believer collected single statements that an Atheist posted that they find to be in agreement with their ideology???
After this list is completed and the two are compared ???
I wonder what the outcome would be???
Can we try to find common ground using ONLY other peoples words taken from opposit camps?
Can we Keep it friendly.
Why can't we agree to disagree when it comes to religion and belifs or nonbeliefs instead of always fighting over it?
That is what I'm talking about. When I see people arguing, I hear them having more common ground than they want to admit.
Saying the same things but from opposite sides of the fence.
If we can point out the points that the oposition side has made that we can agree with.
I gotta go be busy for a bit. Will check back later.
Hope we can find stuff to agree about.

It is my contention that the Christian religion (and specifically following Christ) is guaranteed to cause conflict, wars and ill will.As proof - I cite the last 1800 years - including the hubpages forums as evidence. Not only are these forums littered with arguments between atheists and believers,...

Why can't Christians and atheists agree to disagree?Atheists don't want any references or reminders of Christianity in public places. There is a cross at the New York twin towers which atheists says makes them mentally and physically ill. There is a cross at Camp Pendleton they want...

People usually cannot define what atheist is or when chatting with an atheist you get the feeling that he/she does believe in some form of god maybe not the true God. So, I have been thinking that maybe Christians could be atheists, too. Am I wrong?
