I think now would be a good time to buy property in Nevada. There is a good chance it will be beach front property. wink

An interesting slip up in the title! 2010 is the next election in the USA and could be a preview of the coming destruction of the world as we know it in 2012!

Hi PoppaB.  The movie seems over the top.  And who knows about 2012.  There might not be an election...Obama and the dems might have just put communism in place by then! big_smile

Good morning Flightkeeper! Hope all is well! It's shocking how fast we are headed in that direction! Today I heard the federal government wants to take over rail safety from the states! Were do they get the gall? And why are our senators, representatives and state legislatures allowing the federal government to overstep their constitutional authority???
If the feds aren't stopped, we will see anarchy grip the nation!

Unfortunately, about 40% of the US population seem to all right with having the government do everything for them.  As you can see from the hubbers here, I would think most - maybe 70% of the hubbers, would be okay in letting the Fed take over the lives.

DISCLOSURE TO ANYONE READING THIS: IT IS AN OPINION AND IS NOT NECESSARY FOR ME TO BACKUP WITH FIGURES AND SITE REPORTS

Just make sure when you reply to anything by Ledefensetech that you do have facts and figures and sources, he will insist upon it smile

Manlypoet, how are you?  Good morning and glad to "see" you too.

It's unfortunate that I do have to put that clause in.  It seems that people who don't agree with you always thinks it's a great point if you can't  back up an opinion!

Flightkeeper...I'm good...thanks for asking. HHHMMM...I was always taught that stats can be rearranged to justify whatever you like...so how can stats back up anything definitively? Makes me wonder what all the "Hub-bub" is about... I trust my good ol' every day "horse" sense more than a billion stats that are floating around out there. How about it...FK smile?

Manly, your every day "horse" sense is sorely needed, especially in the White House and the People's House, where they really overdo the statistic thing but not the common sense thing.  But I'm  glad that you're here to remind me that there are still people with good sense smile

There is a movie called 2010; based on an Arthur C. Clarke novel, and sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey.

If the world ended up the way it does in this movie, Jupiter would transform into a sun and we would exist in a world of near impenetrable light, which would certainly have its perks (reduced crime, for example).
