I've been writing here for about 2 months. Almost half of my page views are from outside of hubpages.... is that a good ratio? I'm wanting to write well-done hubs, but, I'm also wanting to make some money...if I make money...the Hubpages "big guys" make money too, right? So, is the 50-50 ratio good, bad, what? Thanks in advance for all those great answers I know I'll be getting soon!
Generally, the more outside visitors you have, the more money you make.
Thanks, Misha...what you noted, I sort of already knew...but thanks for being my first hubber to respond to my request for assistance. Still wondering though if a 50-50 split between outsiders and insiders will be a good ratio to utimately earn some dollars for my efforts. Let's see what other Hubbers respond with...thanks again, Misha!
I know others will disagree but I have experienced a very low ctr with hubpages. Sure I have had a lot of traffic both external and internal but really made no difference to my ctr.
What I have found is that writing a page directing it at an external site has increased the ctr at the external site due to the referred traffic from the initial hubpage.
Still - using hubs, squidoo and article marketing all returns the same affect, so I look at hubs just as another way to get a solid link.
I find the ad placements on hubpages are not conducive to attracting clicks as they are all focused at the top of the page and one about a quarter down.
Well, I don't know about good or bad ratio, but I am making some money here, and ALL this money come from OUTSIDE visitors. In other words, hubpages visitors do not bring money. So, if your goal is Adsense/Ebay/Amazon through Hubpages, you want your traffic to be 100% outsiders ideally
I agree with Misha.
90% of my traffic comes from outside hubpages.
But, I do see a much lower CTR here than other places I write - so I agree with terryg also
It takes a little time, but eventually you should see the ratio increase in favor of outside sources.
I agree, also - Hubbers don't click!
And our CTR (approximated with a nod at the Adsense TOS) at HubPages is less than 2%, compared with 15-25% on some other sites where we run Adsense. HubPages is not an ideal Adsense environment (but that's why we love it ... the ideal Adsense environment is not very visually appealing, after all ...).

I am experiencing an overall average off 66 percent less page views per day, for seven days versus a week previous and for the past two months. Such a huge drop in page views makes me think that Google has tuned up something again. I do know that I don't have the time and energy to keep...

Is anyone else seeing a strange spike today? I've been getting less than 10 page views per day lately, but it's over 500 today and still rising. The source is undetectable using Analytics, Webmaster Tools, or HubPages Sources. I'm still getting 0 from Google and less than 20 from HubPages.What's...

How many page views does it take to create $1 ?Now; I realist that page views and hub revenue is not 100% directly proportionate, however I wondered what people found is generally the average revenue generated from a certain amount of page views, I have a rough idea it might be around;400 pages...

Since I migrated here from Squidoo two months ago, I've seen a steady stream of threads in this forum, complaining about lost page views. There are a lot of theories about why it's happening, and how much it's happening, and what can be done to get into Google's good graces.Google is not my #1...

For the past 48 hours,, my total views (as shown on my account summary) are decreasing, then increasing, then decreasing again. Yesterday I watched the daily view go from 309 to 263 then back to 300.; How does this affect income and when will the counts be reliable again?
