    Probably Off the Wall.

Its easily his most consistent of his solo outings and also the most lively.  There was also a lot less emphasis on electronic sounds, which meant there was a higher value for musicianship and a much more band-oriented sound.

    Thriller is a close second.

Gotta be " Thriller " for me . I was a;ready a long tome Michael Jackson fan . That album cemented his hall of fame credentials for me . But " Off The Wall " was definitely a great album.

I am torn.  With a lot of musical acts I sometimes prefer a "greatest hits" type of collection.  However, I have to say "Thriller" has something special about it between Paul McCartney and Vincent Price and the hits from that album I would say I would lean towards that one. . . unless there is a collection that includes the work with McCartney as well as all of his its in which case I'll take that one.

Bad is better than its given credit for, particularly the last three tracks: "Dirty Diana", "Smooth Criminal", and "Leave Me Alone".

My favorite album of Michael Jackson would be Dangerous. Even I have all his albums I love Dangerous so much. But it is very hard to say as Of the Wall, Bad and Thriller are good too. I am a Michael's fan so I would say I love all his albums, but Dangerous is my favorite.
