Hi, I have been going back and trying to improve my hubs and I have noticed 1) My views per page appear to be lower than the average, 2) my hubs appear to be shorter than most others.
So, my question is: Are my hubs too short? Would some of you kind people mind taking a look to see if you also believe they are short? I would so appreciate it. Btw, I am always open to new friends if you would like to do that as well.
Thank you!!

Welcome to HubPages, JanieK The information you provide is good but the layout is long. Anyway you can move your Amazon off to the side? try to make it a little more compact rather than have a reader scroll and scroll and yet scroll again. Also, your tags just need tweaking. Make them more focused on the topic rather than with common words. Using the Adwords keyword tool is awesome otherwise, you have pretty good scores and just need to bring in traffic.
Thanks for the input. I am not sure how to move the amazon to the side, but I will look into it.
There's an arrow ---> at the top of the capsules. If you click on it, it moves it to the right side.
Just to add on, since I just learned this myself, someone gave me the tip to move what I want to be on the right side on top of what I want to be on the left, and then use the arrow pointing to the right to "right justify" it. I'm not sure if this is necessary or not, but its how I've started doing it.
I wouldn't say their too short necessarily, but it wouldn't hurt to make them a little longer. It depends a lot on the subject, but for most topics between 700 and 1500 words is a good amount. You shouldn't throw in filler just to pad the word count, on the other hand if you can't come up with at least 400 words i's probably not worth writing about.
I tend to like the look of Amazon and Ebay capsules at the bottom of the hubs, but I usually only list 4 items so it's not so long.

I seem to have come to HP just before all the changes. I have put in almost F/T hours on the days I write my hubs. I've read whole books, not only the ones I review, but for material for my hubs. I think what I write is well written and informative. I kept hoping as I got more readers, the money...

I've been experimenting with different hub lengths and was wondering if anyone has found what they consider to be the best length that a hub should be. I'm experimenting with hubs that are between 1000-1200 words, whereas before I was publishing hubs that were between 600-750 words. Has...

This is a suggestion for an additional feature to the option to order comments by either oldest or most recent as first-appearing.The current tool is useful for hubs with many comments, as I means people do not have to scroll through 50 or more comments to read the most recent. However, it would be...

Hi,I have been a member of Hubpages for a while. I have a bunch of hubs, published on various accounts, and since the Google slap, have noticed that my hub views, which weren't all that great before, have now dropped to almost nothing. On average, I seem to be getting about 1/2 a view a day per...
