I have personally lived in UAE there very strict againg nudity they block every website that displays nude or semi nude pics, they are really strict in this matter, they even block websites like kproxy if someone wants to acces blocked content by other means. It may be because of some of the pics here at hubapges.

Sounds like a good reason to encourage more soft porn. Good suggestion hassam.

What are you not understanding about the difference between nudity and a small amount of clothes?

Are you going to keep on pounding this subject until hubpages respect the UAE's standards as what is acceptable content?

Better check with paraglider as he actually lives there and seems to have no problem accessing hubpages.

Actually, the UAE blocks websites "due to its content being inconsistent with the religious, cultural, political and moral values of the United Arab Emirates."

So, I think it is more because of the religious and political hubs we have here.

        They should be banned big_smile

Well I just gave an insight as asked by Sunseven, obviously there may be other reasons as they dont like people to speak that openly about relgious values and specially they bitterly hate politics.

Which means they hate alternative political viewpoints. Wow, after the West and the East convert to non oil based energy resources, the UAE will be screwed something fierce.

Seems like only then will they start liking politics, when they get hit where it hurts (the checkbook).  That is like five or so decades out into the future anyway though so pretty moot right now.
