being active in the forums is how i notice other hubbers . its how ive noticed you.and the main reason why you will see new reads on your account. in a minute or so it might lead to a new comment . and possibly a fan

There's a lot of great hubs here to help one learn how to maximize their potential, so my advice will be that which you might not find elsewhere ...

Write at least 10 hubs a month and don't worry about your profits until you are about 4 months into things. It definitely takes time to get things moving ... and like a locomotive in motion it keeps moving once it gets on the tracks.

The most important things to search the hubs for are 'keyword research' and how to use the various capsules to design your hubs.

      I hope this helps. smile

Welcome to hubpages! Some tips...chat with ppl in the forums, let them get to know you. NEVER self-promote your hubs in the threads...it's a no-no. Have fun when writing your hubs, add a bit of yourself to them if yu can. Write on topics yu find interesting and would like to share with others. Don't be afraid to ask questions in the forums, someone I am sure will answer you!

    And again HAVE FUN! big_smile

    Welcome to HubPages!! big_smile

Take some time to look around and read some hubs from some of the more established hubbers. Stay active in the forums and comment on hubs. And, if you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the "need help" forum or type the topic into the search bar at the top of the page smile

Welcome and have fun here! Stay active in the forums where you can learn everything you need to know. Read other hubs to learn and comment and only fan those who you truly admire.

But, I have to ask... are you Tim? Or, Crystal? Or are Tim and Crystal one person?

I need some help with how this works--I created a hub, wrote a text, comments, etc..-and published it--do I have to create a new hub each time I want to blog about something-can you help, now what do I do from here

      1. kirstenblog profile image78
kirstenblogposted 14 years agoin reply to this

The first thing to understand is that hubs are not like blog posts. They are more like articles and should finished works. I like this because it means that you can write about all sorts of topics here easily. A good blog is one that is on a topic and all the posts are related to that topic and I find this rather limiting. I just can't think of a topic that I could continually post to and to be honest I can't think of a blog topic that I would be interesting in reading either! I do not want to have to keep coming back to learn what the author knows and would rather all that info be there to read on my first visit. I am a lot more likely to want to read what that author knows on other topics when they produce good articles.

You do create a new hub each time you want to write about something, it can be on a totally different topic to your other hubs or can be about a different aspect of a large topic, like the outdoors. With a topic like that you wouldn't have just one article but would have different articles about different aspects of the outdoors like camping or hiking or canoeing.

The key to success here at hub pages is to write write write and make sure people will get something from reading what you write. Its hard work sometimes but its very rewarding and loads of fun! Nothing like getting a lovely comment about what you wrote! big_smile

You're getting some good advice here - I'd like to add, don't self-promote by leaving your link when you make a comment on someone else's hubs wink

    Read, read and read

    Write, write and write

    post, post and post

Write hubs, be active in the forums.  Dont try in any way to deceive the people here.  They are a lot smarter than many forums you will ever end up in.

Pay attention to the Veterens of Hubpages.  It wont take long at all to figure out who they are

Most of all just have fun and the rest will come quite easy.

    Cheers

    Dale

Sure, the only problem is you didn't list your problem. Sounds like your problem is wondering if people will help you when you do have a problem ! Eventually% Sometime in the forseeable future$ in a galaxy far, far, away. From now on just list the problem and there will be plenty of people to answer.

Yeah. Also search the forum, you will find the answers to most of your questions. Whatever you are wondering now, somebody else probably has asked before.
