Week 12 Upset Alerts (Undefeated's...go defeated)

   Upset no. 1:
   Indianapolis Colts (11-0)vs Tennessee Titans (5-6)
   Since Vince Young's resurgence, the Tennessee Titans have won 5 straight games after opening the season at a dismal 0-6 start. Running back Chris Johnson has become more effective in the running game now since the passing game has opened up lanes in the play action downs. I think this game against the Colts will prove to mean more than a normal rivalry game, but pose playoff implications heading into the post season. Peyton Manning and the Colts will suffer their first loss of the season, 28-24.

   Upset no. 2:
   New Orlean Saints (11-0) vs Washington Redskins (3-8)
   If this sounds like an off the wall pick from a die hard fan you wouldn't be TOTALLY wrong, however the Redskins are playing at a high level defensively, coming into last game vs the Eagles the Redskins held the league's no. 1 rated pass defense. Also, in Drew Brees' record setting season last year ('08), the Saints fell to the Redskins 25-23 at Fed Ex field. Not going off that game entirely, but unlike any other team at the same mark or worse, the Redskins are playing with tremendous heart and this game will test their will, and best believe the Redskins will be ready.

   Wow.. I don't think the Banged up Redskins have much of a chance to beat the Saints. I do like the Titans to upset the Colts, Chris Johnson is the man!

   Skins are starting to come on, but the Saints would have to really screw up to lose this one.
   
   Titans have been impressive, but I think this is the Sunday that Vince Young remembers..................

   I think Titans/Colts will be good and probably a close game, but I don't think they can pull it off. If they weren't playing a team as bad as the Redskins I might pick the Saints to have a letdown, but it ain't happening.

   Ron, yea, I can agree with the Titans/Colts game being a total debacle on the half of the Colts for them to lose. I'm not sure entirely that the Titan's D can hold Peyton to pedestrian (at best) numbers.
   
   However, if Vince Young and Chris Johnson continue playing like they've been, no more no less without the Colts' Defense winning on downs, this could be an upset. If Vince Young can stay upright in the pocket and move around and manipulate the defense like he's done the past 5 games, the Colts will have to switch to 'man' defense to contain him. I know they're going to initially come out in a cover 2 zone with a roaming safety to try and confuse Young, but all he's got to do is make his immidiate to check down throws. They've simplified his gameplan and it's working so far. Nevertheless, this will be a better game than the Saints vs the Pats!!! Hor-rib-le!

   Now the Redskins on the other hand (EYEAM4...)are much better than given credit for. I know it sounds like the usual diagnosis for the Redskins' woes to point the finger at their offense, but recently their games have been dictated by their defense. The pace of the game against the Saints will prove to be the determining factor imo. If the Redskins (T-1 NFL leading pass defense)can keep Brees and company (very big IF) contained, or at least limited playing time on the field they will have controlled the pace of the game once again. And just like last season, the Redskins can pull off the upset. Besides the fact that the Redskins are playing a 1:00 game, (also being a fan)I know we bode well when not on primetime television.
   
   I wish I knew the record in comparison to Sunday Night games for example, to show that the W L differential would probably be surprising.

   R. Edwards. .I agree with all you say.....if Young  can stay upright in the pocket and move around and manipulate the defense like he's done the past 5 games. . .
   Fact is he is running 7.4 times a game, as opposed to 5.9 in years past .. he isnt as reckless as he has been in the past in that instead when he does run instead of risking a collision and causing a fumble .. he steps out of bounds.
   
   But he can make stupid mistakes. .  and I think as I watch that last throw last week .. he threw it into a whole bunch of 4 defenders .. easily it could have been picked off or deflected ..but it wasnt .. and that throw is now a great moment in the weeks rap up . .   so is the football "magic angel" on the side of the Titans this year. . .are they a team destined to go all the way? Sure seems that with especially when you add lightning bolt Chris Johnson into the mix .. in the past six games he has rushed for 128, 228, 135, 132, 151 and 154. Eric Dickerson's record of 2,105, set with the Los Angeles Rams in 1984 is on the line right here . .and all I can think about is this is what is so great about sports!
   
   Titans a team of destiny..  hmmmm
   
   As for the Colts. .yes they are great and they too are on a winning streak. .. but the last few games..is it that they come alive at the end of the game. .or are the guys on the other side just giving in and letting the Colts do their thing in the final minutes.
   
   I think this is the game to watch and I am definitely looking forward to watching this one.
   
   who will win . ..I guess we will all have to tune in Sunday at 1pm to find out!

   Problem is you gotta score to win. New Orleans will get in the end zone, Washington might. The Saints have too many weapons for any defense to stop them the entire game. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Saints defense gets a couple scores, too.

      lol, when you add that factor in, all odds are definately stacked against Washington. However, as we've seen the entire season, the Redskins' D really depicts the pace of each game. If the Skins can keep Brees and Co. in the 20+ scoring arena, I think the odds favor the Redskins. However, if they get anything over 28 it's not a good look for the Redskins.

      ...wow, this was probably the only way the Saints could falter. The one component of the team that Brees doesn't have direct control over.
      
      I still hold my prediction the same, plus this game will be a lot more exciting and entertaining than presumed.

   The Colts are my team and honestly I believe this is the game that will determine if they go undefeated or not. I expected this decision game to be against the Patriots. Now as the Titans have gotten hot coming off a 5 game winning streak and an incredible game against the Cardnals they are going to give the Colts a run for their money.
   
   This game is going to be one of interceptions which will turn the momentum of the game.
   
   I believe it's going to be a fourth quarter showdown ending in a close game. Two quarterbacks that can handle the pressure when it comes to the end.
   
   ...Chris Johnson is going to do his thing; but so is Manning...
   
   As for the Saints and the redskins I don't believe the redskins have enough to take the Saints down. The redskins Defense is good but the weapons Saints have on offense are better. The redskins offense will falter to the Saints Defense and Saints will get plenty of opportunities to get to the redzone. Once they are there Brees will get his touchdowns.
   
   On the contrary, these will be great games to watch and I can't wait till kickoff!

    It wouldnt totally shock me to see the Titans knock the Colts off today, but absolutely no way the Skins top the Saints.
    
    I know the Saints arent the greatest team on the road (theyre unbeatable at home) but theres no way Washington hangs in this game.

       it's confirmed, K Shaun Suisham of the Redskins is taking checks!
       
       I will be highly dissappointed if no one in the Redskins' organization or locker room doesn't punch or have some type of altercation made public against Suisham. Seriously, something needs to be made public about him.
       
       That's TWO games where Suisham PURPOSELY (yes I said it), purposely missed game winning field goals in the last few seconds/minutes of the game. His first time was against the Cowboys where he somehow missed 3 fgs that would have undoubtedly won the game as Dallas was only able to score 7 points.
       
       The game today was in the bag and despite the final score the Redskins won this game to me. In all facades of the game the Redskins held the edge, even kept the Saints from scoring once they reached our red zone to keep our defense no. 1 in the league in that area. This game was clearly losed to the fault of our kicker, point blank.
       
       
       Congratulation Suisham you've successfully thrown 2 games in one season without having someone on your own team assault you! Arrrrghhhh!!!! I'm so mad!
