Just curious.... does it violate any rules if I put a "for more information" link to another of my websites in any of my hubs?
Not at all, provided your Hub isn't copied from somewhere else (not suggesting you would plagiarise, but you might reproduce one of your articles from elsewhere).
If you write most of your Hubs all linking to the same website, you can get flagged for being overly promotional - but if you mix it up, you'll be fine. All my belly dance Hubs link to my belly dance site, all my flamenco Hubs link to my flamenco site, etc. That's OK because I also have several Hubs that don't.
Tip - the most effective backlink (in Google's eyes) is one that's in context. So rather than saying "for more information click here" and hyperlinking "click here", link using your keywords. For instance, rather than saying "to see more clips, visit my website, Belly Dance Oz", I would say "..... visit The Australian Belly Dance Video Directory".

So how do I go about backlinking in context?
As long as you are not using those statements to indicate clicking on any paid ad links (ie Google). That behavior is forbidden in the AdSense TOS.
I have linked hubs of mine that relate to another one of my hubs at the bottom. I have seen it done on other hubs as well. If we can do it within the text, I think it is ok to do it at the bottom.
I'm pretty sure that would be fine, as long as you don't link to it more than twice in the same hub
using in text links with varied but appropriately related keywords is absolutely imperative!
read up on "anchor text"
as for "click here", you dont stand a chance ranking against Adobe Reader!

So, I understand that the question-answer section is to inspire hubs, BUT it feels a little disingenuous to use the information everyone provided, especially when that information would fit nicely in a list. I asked a question about recipes and received lots of great replies. How do I make a...

I've seen some hubs with affiliate links on them... such as from Commission Junction. Is there a HubPages policy on using these types of links?

I have relatively simple question.I was preparing a new blog and wanted to add some links into the main article. I tried using simple HTML <a href="url>name</a> to add the links, but then the code showed as well. For editing at home, using NotePad or Word, is there some...

Because of the way we have rolled out Article Q&A on a site-by-site basis, there are some network sites that have substantially more questions with their own URLs than others. Rest assured, we haven’t seen any direct correlation between changes in traffic and the ratio of questions on a site....
