Hi
What about this?
On every hub that we create if we want to make it a referral link and get referrals out of it all we have to do is click on the tab that is at the end of the page below and generate the referral link.
We can use this referral link to get refferals.
But what about the link generated by these below programmes that generates its own link to our hubpages. If anyone clicks on the links and signsup do they come under us as our referrals?
Digg
Reddit
del.icio.us
Netscape
BlinkList
StumbleUpon
Newsvine
Furl

With regards
I suppose you could put your affiliate code into the URL you submit to sites like Digg and Reddit, but we don't do it automatically and don't recommend it.
The reason we don't is that those sites use the URL of each submission as a unique key to identify a single story. If 3 different people separately submit a hub with different affiliate trackers, the URL will be different for each submission -- meaning there could be 3 copies of the same Hub listed at Digg and they will each have 1 digg instead of 1 copy with 3 diggs. (I'm aware that some of the sites have technology to help detect "duplicate submissions", but nevertheless ...)
Beyond that technical complication -- it violates the Digg terms of service to submit links with affiliate trackers. I haven't checked all the other sites, but I suspect most of them are similar.
It is important to us that HubPages authors don't abuse these social bookmarking services. They are a great resource when used responsibly, but a few abusers could ruin them for everyone (and they could easily blacklist all future HubPages submissions).
My recommendations would be:
- only submit URLs to bookmarking sites that you actually use (meaning you actively participate in the community they have developed).
- only submit URLs that you genuinely think are worthy
Paul Deeds built this feature. I'll pass this to him. Thanks!
I think there will be no harm if we put our referral link substituting the autolink provided in the below programmes.

The only care that I think we should take, is that, both the links are targeting the same topic. Only the url's are different but both the url's lead to the same page when clicked.
In this way I suppose we are not violating any terms of their service.
If a link to a hub has no tracker, then the hub author gets the referral. So, just submit your own hubs to which ever social sites you wish, and you should get credit for any signups that result from them.
I think so, anyway.

I think only the referral tracking link can produce referrals and not any other link of whatsoever even it links to our own topic.
Yes, you have to have your tracker in the URL to get credits for signups.
so,if we submit a hub with url tracker inside it to any social bookmarking site, when the people from that site comes and signup for hubpages then it 'll be a hub author referral signup or credits to hubpages team??..whether submitting hubs with referral url trackers to social bookmark sites is legal or not..can anyone clear me of these doubts??
If the person comes from any URL that has a tracker, then then you'll get credit for the signups.
What if the URL has no tracker - does the author get the referral for a new signup? I think it should be like this, and looking at my stats I'm convinced it is.

I've read the FAQ, darkside's hubs, and several forum threads and didn't see an answer to this.If somebody lands on one of my hubs via a Google search, for example, and thinks "WTF is this cr*p? I could do better!" or (hopefully!) "Wow, this is so awesome - I want to join this site...

Like referrals.1. Why insert an _referralcode into the URL. Couldn't you come up with a dynamic insertion solution? If an insertion was required, what's wrong with appending it at the end of the URL as in ?referrer=xyz? or would that make it too easy for hubbers?2. Why do pages like the Referrals...

I have not learned what referral trackers are for? Can someone please point me to a forum post that talks about this? Or if there is no historical post about this can someone tell me what this is and how does it benefit a hubber? I am asked to create one but I don't know how to do that and what to...

If I refer someone to an article using one of my referral codes to a hub on TatRing, for example, do the same percentages and such apply currently and/or will they in the future? I don't see a "Link to this Page" link on the bottom on that site.
