WHY the secrecy around Tiger Woods Auto Accident? What's missing?

   Ok, an accident. Sounds simple. No alcohol related report. Good!
   But, why have the state troopers still not able to speak to Tiger about this? Sure does sound like a cover-up! If the accident was a no issue, why would not Tiger just tell the state troopers what happened and be done with it? Simple!
   Makes one think something is being hidden the way it is unraveling.
   I am a big Tiger fan. He is awesome at golf. You and I would not get away with avoiding giving a statement to police. WE would be in jail instantly for not complying. Fame is no excuse to avoid legal issues!!!!!

      supposedly they were in an argument about him having an affair, and his wife caused the lacerations on his face. i guess they need time to get their stories straight.

      It's a domestic issue.  He's just embarrassed.  People need to drop it.  It's his life.  If he wants a mistress... then he needs to work that out with his wife.  Could you imagine the backlash if Tiger swung a club at her?  He's just protecting his family and himself.
      
      Would anyone care if it was just some ordinary guy at a trailer park?

      Sounds about right!  Even drunk you wouldn't miss the turn you take every single time you get in your car. He was not late for an appointment 2 in the morning.  So he was running from something...very fast! Why was she outside of the car instead of in it?  Why would she have a golf club in her hand outside of the car? Why would she think she would need it and why would she take the time to grab it if she just saw him crash? Hummmm

         I wondered the same thing. it's certainly worth posting about for tiger fans, in contrast to some of the ridiculous threads started about so and so needs a fan.

   Yeah, I am a big Tiger Woods fan too.  I am a bit concern with Tiger's silence over the accident.  I posted a hub to the Hubpages community when the story first broke.  Hopefully, things will start clearing up on the accident.

   There's no alcohol report that we know of, but then again just because he didn't get a blood test or breathalyzer at the hospital doesn't mean he wasn't drinking. Maybe that's why the police want to talk to him so bad. Why weren't they called at the scene, and why didn't they take a statement at the hospital? Let's see an average joe get out of talking to the police after smashing his car by itself....must be nice to be a famous wealthy, sports star.

   I am not famous, never have been. I have done this and got away with it in my past under threat of arrest. He is human, maybe he needed to go to the store for something important like tampons for his wife? Screw the cops, let them find evidence  of wrongdoing, that's there job.

    Yeah screw the cops if you can break the law and get away with it then its okay. Funny how its only criminal if you go to jail, or if you do it and get away with it you're just clever. Someone else does it and gets someone hurt well they deserve jail time. Gotta love the new American attitude.

       Well Scott, it is not law for him to make a statement. The burden is on the State Patrol. I agree, celebrities do get away with some things we don't like, but in this case I have to side with Tiger as he is within his rights. I am sure the truth will prevail in the end. I am not going to speculate on what happened  or what the cause was, but I will defend his and our rights as citizens and his choice to remain silent for now.

    The media always destroys reputation of personalities because they make money out of it.
    
    I also think that Tiger should have the responsibility to explain what happened to him to his fans.People specially the youth look up to personalities as models and he owe that to the youth at least. That is the prize of being famous in a hungry for gossip society.
    
    The police should do their job well and be consistent, and if they found out Tiger did something against the law, punish him..

    I believe the media is making it out to be more then it is because he is a celebrity, they are always looking to discredit someone and is merely another ploy to conquer and divide a nation. We are Tiger Woods fans to and what happened was his concern and business nobody was seriously injured or died that is what truly counts. If he was having an affair that is also is business we do not live in his home and we do not know what goes on behind closed doors.

    Well, if it was a domestic dispute, good for Tiger that he opted to diffuse the situation by leaving -- or attempting to leave -- instead of picking up a golf club. If he is having an affair, then his reputation with me went down 3 notches. Since he didn't raise a hand to his wife, even to defend himself, his reputation just grew 3 notches in my book. So I guess we're back to where we started from!

       Thank you for being the first person (other than me) to say that!  This media storm would be far worse had he retaliated violently.  Maybe his silence in the immediate aftermath had more to do with protecting his wife from the spousal abuse charge, than protecting himself.  That was the only crime in this scenario...him getting a beat down from the wife. 
       
       Newsflash: Last night he announced his indefinite break away from golf - wow.  Golf is about to get back to boring.  I hope he's able to put this incident behind him soon, and get back on the course.  In his new statement it is also notable that he used the word "infidelity", as opposed to "transgressions".
