HubPages doesn't make any payments directly.  All revenue is based on impression sharing, and you'll earn revenue through the adsense, amazon, and ebay affiliate programs.  There is more in the FAQ.

That is just an estimate of your earnings, the actual earnings are still from impression sharing and will be in your AdSense account.  There is more explanation in this thread, including how we make that estimate, etc.

What difference does my adsense income has if i advertise my hubs with and without trackers?

A 9% to 12% difference in pageviews. However that is not the reason why I use them to link to my hubs, I use them so if the visitor signs up to HubPages I get rewarded for the effort.

Also there is a reward for referring other peoples hubs.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but you'll make more if you use the trackers -- how much more depends on a lot of different factors.

I would suggest carefully reading the information at the links below.

Also, darkside made a nice hub that explains url trackers even better than we do.

ah...one more thing...Does the no of visitors shown in the traffic section shows "unique visitors" ?

No, it counts every page view including your own.  You can get more in depth data, including unique vistors by enabling google analytics on affiliate settings page.

We don't have step by step instructions yet, but basically you need to add a website profile for hubpages.com and then enter the new UA-#######-# code into your affiliate settings page.  You should start getting data within a day or two.

After you create a new website profile for hubpages.com in your analytics account, they will give you some javascript to add to your page.  In that javascript there is an identifier that looks like this, but with different numbers:

    UA-1111111-2

Enter that value at HubPages and we will add the javascript automatically.
