I just made an account for StumbleUpon but I can't seem to figure out how to submit websites!

I also was wondering if anyone knew if you could submit an RSS on stumble upon? There are several that I really like and would love to get involved with SU!

    Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty new to all this myself, but I installed StumbleUpon's nifty toolbar.  The toolbar has 2 cute little blue hands on it -- thumbs up and thumbs down.

When I'm on a site I like, I click on the "thumbs up," and boxes appear with instructions that walk me through the rest of the process.

If that doesn't work for you, you may need to enable pop-ups on your browser.

    Hope this helps!

Thanks! I wasn't sure if I had to install the toolbar or not! I'll give it a try!

Don't know if you -have- to, but boy, does it make Stumbling easier!

I just installed it and I think I love it! Thanks!!!!

Now does anyone know if we can submit Rss feeds? There are some fantastic writers out here.

Just a heads up about using StumbleUpon to promote your Hubs:

StumbleUpon's terms and conditions prohibit self-promotion.  You're supposed to Stumble stuff you like, not only promote your own stuff.  If you are only promoting your own hubs and articles, you will probably get blocked.

Here's a link about it on the forums:

    http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/3169#post22323

If you search the forums for StumbleUpon, you will find a lot of discussion about it, including how other hubbers use it (and avoid getting blocked).  Some hubbers say you can simply open a new SU account whenever they block the one you are using, but if HubPages users keep causing accounts to get blocked, they could end up blocking all hubs that are submitted.

To be honest, the most traffic I have ever received from SU is when someone else submits one of my hubs, not when I do it myself.

    Have fun stumbling.

Thank you so much for the reply!

I heard of Stumble Upon before Hubpages but never got involved but now that I see its potential it can be a lot of fun! I've already submitted 6-7 sites that aren't my own.

    Another SU question..

How does one become friends with someone? I see the search option but once you click on the person it pops to their profile.

Am I overlooking a button thats really right smack in front of me?

It's definitely a great way to promote pages... I've been using it for ages! smile
