Ok guys - this time I am asking how not telling : ) - lol
Overnight one of my pages has just blown out with traffic 467 hits in fact - traffic referral stats tells me it all came from hubpages.com
Anyone know why it's suddenly gone mad?
thanks
Shaye
I have no idea why it happened but I would love it if my hubs got that many hits.
BAD NEWS Shaye!
I posted something similar last week and was informed that we have a glitch in the sytem.
If all the traffic relates only to hubpages then yeah. Enjoy the free numbers boost.
If the traffic had been from an outside source than maybe someone on the other side of the earth could've posted a link to you that blew up but no. This has happened to several people in the last couple weeks.
Thanks for bursting my bubble DJFuncktual!
Oh well : ( It was exciting while it lasted.... the number of hits is the same now as I write this as it was 7 hours or so ago.... so it seams that this is exactly what happended. One of my other hubs had an increase last night too but it was only by 15 hits, so that seams more like my daily average.
I'll take your advice and just enjoy the hub score love : )
Shaye
Well if I work it out I will let you all know - I would love to know how it happened so I could do it again!
I did a quick backlink check on the hubpage url and couldn't see anything that I hadn't generated?
It's a bit of a mystery but I am going to do my best possible Erin Brockavich (sp?) impersonation and solve this one : )
Tnks for replying SirDent
Wow?! I am jealous...lol..When you find out how, could you please make a post so that I can be amazed like that also....CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations!!! but it is not amazing. It can be happened with anyone else. Some times some ideas click and if it is a timely stroke it hits.
Yes!! people should just start writing.rest of things automatically take care!!!!!

I am starting this suggestion here in hopes that staff will see it. Many of us have suddenly found large numbers of our hubs unfeatured for quality within the past 24 hours. Myself it has his 17 of my 221 hubs in my Squidoo-transfered account (this one), none in my other account. Some of the hubs...

Overnight, my traffic suddenly plunged about 50%. I have no idea why this has happened because my traffic has been relatively consistent. Has there been any new algorithms or anything. But I have heard that some hubbers have had their work stolen. I fear this may happened to me or this could be...

One of my lousy hub, which has an ordinary url that is not quite 100%, and ordinary content has had a very good number of page views. When I first put it up it got 1000s of hits straight away.It was then found that it was not within the TOS here on hubpages, but most likely did not comply in some...

I don't have big hub numbers but my Google traffic has gone from 40 - 60 views per day to nil and hubs that were in the top ten search results have suddenly disappeared. This is true of hubs I've had for a couple of months, and hubs I wrote within the last week.I've seen numerous comments about...

Hey Guys and Gals, Man, I have just about had it with the traffic issues here at the Hubpages. I have published over 100 hubs here in two years. I have won several awards, I have had over 10, 000 views, and I have a following of over 200 people. When this whole traffic loss debacle first occurred,...
